CLAREMONT FAN COURT SCHOWelcome to Gala Day 2023 This year Gala Day presents the opportunity to celebrate our centenary and the many achievements the pupils have made across all parts of the school.
Our gates open at 9am and we invite you to join us for breakfast which will be served next to the mansion. Welcome speeches from the headmaster, William Brierly and school pupil representatives will take place at 10am on our big events screen next to the mansion steps. After this, there are sports events, performances, activities, demonstrations and workshops for the whole family to see and do. Please consult the 'What's On Guide' on the pages that follow in this booklet for further details.
To keep you refreshed, food and drink including toasties, pizzas, paella, hot dogs and burgers, sweet and savoury crepes and ice cream are available from our food market all day.
We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating all that is Claremont Fan Court School.
Please read our checklist to ensure you get the most from Gala Day and have everything you need for a fun time:
Please bring portable chairs and picnic blankets if you would like seating during the welcome speeches and whilst watching sports events
Bring suncream and sunhats if the weather is hot and sunny
Refillable water bottles can be replenished at various locations around the school site, please see the Gala Day map
Please bring a payment method/money for the food market and Claremont 100 donations
The school is open to the public on Gala Day, parents should supervise children whilst on site
Parking will ONLY be available from the Portsmouth Road entrance, Claremont Drive entrance will be CLOSED
If you have accessibility requirements please contact cyellow@claremont.surrey.sch.uk by 30 June to arrange access or parking
As this is a family event we are not serving alcohol from our food market outlets. Please do not bring alcohol to Gala Day, we thank you for your cooperation.
Pupils should wear comfortable school sports kit and suitable, sturdy footwear
Please do not bring dogs on site on Gala Day
A fire drill is not planned for Gala Day, in the event of hearing the fire alarm, please muster at the nearest muster point sign shown on the map. In the event of detecting a fire please dial 999

Our centenary cements and celebrates our place in the local community At the start of this academic year, we set ourselves the challenge to raise around £100,000 to support five local charities which have been nominated by pupils and staff across the whole school We are proud to be supporting The Grace Dear Trust, East Elmbridge Foodbank, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, Momentum and Rentstart. So far we have raised more than £56,000!
