Dear parents,

Re: Sixth Form study at Claremont Fan Court School for September2025

The sixth form is a truly exciting stage of school life. This is the moment where students can delve deeper into their favourite subjects, shaping their future university and career paths. Claremont’s sixth form offers small, engaging classes, enrichment through the Joyce Grenfell programme and exceptional pastoral care within a vibrant school community. Our growing popularity and outstanding results speak for themselves!

We proudly offer a wide variety of exciting subjects for sixth form study –from textile design to further maths. Claremont students also take part in the Joyce Grenfell academic enrichment programme which adds even more depth and choice to the learning experience.

Beyond academics, Claremont’s sixth form offers leadership opportunities, community partnerships, work experience, and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. Whether a student is passionate about sport, music or simply being part of a vibrant community, our sixth form has something for everyone.

Our dedicated student futures team provides personalised careers guidance with regular talks and mentoring from subject specialists to guide students through the university application process. Aspiring Oxbridge candidates and medical students receive additional tailored support.

Claremont is pleased to offer a discount scheme for families who confirm their child's place on or before 3 February 2025.

Discountschemedetails:

 £1,000 discount per academic year: This applies to tuition fees for the 2025/26 and 2026/7 academic years and is applied to the first terms fees. The discount is applied before any other applicable discounts such as scholarships, exhibitions, sibling discounts, or bursaries.

£1,500 non-refundable deposit: This secures your child's place in the sixth form and entitles families to an annual discount, which is credited against the first terms fees in the sixth form.

Please note: The sixth form deposit and terms and conditions form should be submitted to the accounts office by Monday 3 February 2025. Withdrawal after this date will result in the loss of the deposit.

Admission to our sixth form courses is conditional upon students achieving the required GCSE grades and demonstrating the character qualities outlined in our A level curriculum booklet. If GCSE outcomes are not as expected, please contact the school on results day to discuss the options.

This year over 100 pupils progressed to lower sixth, and we would hope to see the same again next year. I hope our discount scheme is of interest to you and look forward to receiving confirmation of your child's intention to continue into our sixth form.

Please contact me if you require further information.

Yours sincerely.
