We're excited to be able to share this guide with you, which outlines the cocurricular clubs and wrapround care programme at Claremont junior school.
Clubs at Claremont are an integral part of the curriculum; after all a child's time at school extends far beyond the classroom walls and learning takes place through a variety of experiences, not least during those moments when one is following an interest or passion.
We have set out to shape a broad and balanced range of clubs, to complement the learning delivered in the classroom, and also to offer new activities: We hope that your child can find enjoyment and belonging in what is on offer.
The Claremont Curriculum: learning about ourselves, others and the world around us.

CO-CURRICULAR & WRAPAROUND CARE ACTIVITIES
BOOKINGS AND CHARGES INFORMATION
Please ensure you book your child’s clubs within the above times - spaces are allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. In response to parents’ feedback we have created as much space as possible in all clubs. Once a club becomes full the bookings will automatically close and if your child did not receive a place you will automatically be added onto a waiting list for that particular club. If your child is on the register for the chosen club, you will be able to see this information within your account each term, no confirmation will be sent by the office.
Please note, we have removed the need for immediate payment to secure a place in clubs to ease the pressure on the MyEvolve system. Charges will be billed in the Autumn Term after the first full week of clubs. Following the introduction of VAT from 1 January 2025 please note that most external clubs are now subject to VAT and this is reflected in the prices shown in the brochure and on Evolve. Pupils must be registered via the online booking system for all clubs (except breakfast Rec Y6). Pupils will not be permitted to attend otherwise. Staff will strictly adhere to this policy.
Attendance is subject to the children being able to settle into the club, if they are unable to settle easily, we ask parents to give the children more time before booking them into co-curricular clubs or After School Club. These are enrichment opportunities and children need to be ready emotionally for these developmental milestones.
We will provide 12 club sessions in the Autumn term, for the majority of clubs. Clubs will be commencing on Monday 8 September. You will need to sign up termly and payments will be invoiced through Evolve in each term. Please note that some clubs will only be able to take place once minimum numbers are met. If you wish to stop the attendance of any club, please contact the school office in writing after the first week of attendance. In the case of externally provided clubs you will only be charged for the first session. Any cancellations after this date will be liable for charges for the whole term.
