At Claremont, every pupil’s journey is guided by our skilled and dedicated team. Our through-school approach ensures smooth transitions from Fan Court to Stable Court and onward to senior school, with a focus on each child’s individual development across academic learning, co-curricular enrichment and pastoral care.
Early years to Key Stage 1
From pre-nursery to year 2 in Fan Court, children build strong foundations in a nurturing, curiosity-driven environment, with familiar routines and close relationships easing their progression through Early Years and Key Stage 1.
Fan Court to Stable Court
The move to Stable Court (years 3–6) is supported through visits, buddy systems and introductions to new staff and classrooms, helping pupils feel confident and excited. Familiar faces remain present daily to provide continuity and reassurance.
Stable Court to senior school
The transition to senior school is carefully managed, with no single entrance exam – we are one school. Our rigorous internal assessments track and support academic progress and set clear learning targets, while also considering each child’s character, work ethic and co-curricular engagement, providing a strong foundation for the next stage of their education.
As pupils prepare for the next step, taster sessions, summer communications and creative engagement with staff and peers ensure they feel confident, valued and fully supported as they move forward.
