GALLERIES The scoop on some of the best art showrooms and their current exhibitions

Right now, people’s lives feel fragile, like we are living on very thin ice. Break through the coldness and welcome the warmth of spring. The artworks showcased in this exhibition were created during Covid-19, or earlier but now filled with new meaning. The gallery hopes that with the observation of the outside world and selfexamination, as well as intense scrutiny and feelings, can rejuvenate people with strength. Furthermore, we would like to explore the future of Hong Kong contemporary art industry through this exhibition. Mon-Fri: 10am–7pm, Sat: 12noon – 7pm, Sun and Public Holidays by appointment only; Room 1-6, 21/F, Mega Trade Center, 1 Mei Wan St., Tsuen Wan, N.T., Hong Kong (Transit: Exit A3, Tsuen Wan MTR Station); 2416 3632

‘Intermixture Vol.2’ at Whitestone Gallery Until 13 Mar Whitestone Gallery Hong Kong is pleased to present “Intermixture Vol.2”, a sequel to the first “Intermixture” group exhibition in 2017. Following the idea from the first edition that the artists are using various materials and textures to form their unprecedented expressions, merging the boundary between paintings and sculptures, the second edition will also present these characteristics, and at the same time we encourage the viewers to find connections and new interpretations in their own ways. 7-8/F, H Queen’s, 80 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong; Tuesday - Saturday: 11:00 - 19:00, Sunday: appointment only. Closed on statutory holiday; 2523 8001

‘Hong Kong Exchange’ Calling’ at Gagosian ‘Flowers In The Window: Solo Exhibition by Carmen Ng’ at Karin Weber Gallery Until 31 Mar Carmen Ng renders her complex, city-inspired visions in vivid and delightful detail on paper. She captures a world that can only be imagined in dreams. The artist’s meticulously rendered scenes reveal the minutiae of her subjects’ otherworldly existence — no detail or cleverly imagined situation is too small, and rendered in exact detail. In her practice, she demonstrates astonishing control of her preferred medium watercolour. G/F, 20 Aberdeen Street, Soho; Tue-Sat: 11am-7pm; Other days: By Appointment; 2544 5004
