1. INTRODUCTION

It is inevitable that items will be misplaced by team members, members, and visitors to our venues. We therefore provide an efficient and effective lost property service to all.

Thepurposeofthispolicyistominimisepropertylossesandtoreturnmisplaceditemstotheirrightfulowners.

This policy applies to all team members of Castle Hill RSL Club Ltd (CHRG).

2. LOST PROPERTY

All lost/misplaced items, including money must be handed to a supervisor immediately.

Supervisors will store lost/misplaces items in the allocated, secure location.

CHRG will endeavour to locate the rightful owner and return the item. Where the owner cannot be identified and/or contacted, the item will be stored for up to one month. After a month, if the owner has not been located or the item has not been collected, the item will be donated to relevant local charities.

3. BREACH OF THIS POLICY

Breaches of this policy may result in counselling and or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

4. REVIEW OF THIS POLICY

This policy will be reviewed every two years to ensure it remains consistent with all relevant legislative requirements, as well as the changing nature of the company or more frequently where legislative requirements are changed or amended.

5. POLICY COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION

This policy will be stored on CHRG’s intranet site. It will be incorporated into induction/onboarding programs and CHRG will conduct education sessions on the application and operation of this policy as required and when any changes to the policy are implemented.
