STAGE 4 FROGGIE FLOATERS
This stage builds upon the fundamental skills learnt in stage 2 such as kicking and back floating and advances them to an independent roll to back float and 4 metre swims. Students develop more advanced breath control through the introduction of blowing bubbles in preparation for the progression to stage 5.

STAGE
5 PENGUIN PATROL
This stage is the final development of fundamental skills prior to stroke development. Students learn to kick on their back, where they are required to complete this for 4 metres independently. Students then utilise all the skills learnt in stages 3, 4 and 5, through a continuous 8 metre independent swim with a roll to breath and back kick before rolling back to their front to swim to the end of the lane.

OCTO LEAGUE
This stage has an increased focus on the development of both freestyle and backstroke arms, to 8 metres. Butterfly kick is reintroduced in this stage, as students work towards a 5-metre butterfly kick A seated dive is also focused upon as part of the progression to a kneeling dive in stage 8.

MARLIN MASTERS
This stage develops a progression to 4 arm freestyle over 20 metres Technique correction to backstroke and butterfly kick is a focus, as there is an increase in distance for each skill Students will build upon the seated dive, progressing to a kneeling dive off the wall. There is a basic introduction of breaststroke kick out of the water, which is developed further in levels 9 and 10.

DOLPHIN SURFERS
This stage is the first of our ‘pre-squad’ program, consisting of further stroke development of freestyle and backstroke and the introduction of bilateral breathing across 30 metres. Development of breaststroke kick, basic breaststroke sculling and the progression from kneeling dive to standing are also focused on here Each student learns a basic forward roll in preparation for tumble turns in stage 9.

This stage builds upon the distance swam in stage 9, increasing freestyle and backstroke to 50 meters Students learn their breaststroke and butterfly arms in this level. Stroke technique is further corrected, as well as correction of the standing dive and the tumble turn in freestyle This level teaches students the last of their strokes in preparation for squad levels.
