Yellow is a colour full of hope – it lifts the spirits, signifies optimism and brightens a room. It is no wonder that it is seeing a bit of a moment in interiors as a ‘colour of the year’ at a time when rays of sunshine are needed to break through the gloom. Softer, creamier pastel shades of primrose or daffodil yellows are a gentler way to use this tone than rich mustards or citrusy lemons, and also imbue a prettiness to the home.
