In the

the

sitting room,
walls are painted in Tige Brune, with the ceiling in Terre de Sienne and woodwork in Terre Brûlée, all by Argile, adding to the sense of cosiness here. The French Louis XV-style bergère sofa, picked up at Southgate Auctions, brings a decadent touch, along with the smaller sofa from Little Paris Store, Crouch End.

Oasis in THE CITY

Laura and Keith Davidson were led by their Scottish roots and the innate period charm of this late-19th-century house in London when transforming it for modern family life

The kitchen, with cabinets and island designed and produced by

feels bright and welcoming. Mixed white field tiles by Francis

have been chosen to complement the warm neutral palette and subtly patterned woods. The antique lantern was sourced at Battersea

and the oiled aged-oak parquet flooring is from The Natural Flooring Company.

CHANGE of COURSE

When regulations put a halt to renovation plans, interior designer Christian Bense employed his creativity and talent for small space design to transform this late-19th-century London flat

Inspired by Somerset House in London, the sitting room walls have been painted in Slate II and the woodwork in Slate III, both from Paint & Paper Library. Curtains in de Le Cuona’s Buffalo fabric in Dust, a revived piece from Christian’s WOW!house room, hang above a Sofa.com Otto sofa bed in Pumice basketweave. The rug is from Rug Vista.
