Monthly Report for November Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally nally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers ansfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. ion. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, tion, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization rganization was formed by a group gr of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but bu constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless e struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

Monthly Report for November Ambitions

Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living. Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs. What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses; • their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013 Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.

SERBS FOR SERBS HELPED FAMILY PETROVIC FROM PROKUPLJE

The father Dejan is working, while Milijana is unemployed. Half of the salary is used to pay the credit for the house, because they were renting a place for a long time after they arrived from Kosovo and Metohija. Members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Nis visited and helped family Petrovic by providing firewood in the amount of 30,000 dinars. The family lives in Prokuplje. The household consists of father Dejan, mother Milijana and the children Veljko (11), Andrej (9), Elena (7), Ognjen (5), and the newborn Andrea.

Apart from the difficult situation, the parents are struggling for their children. SfS helped them to get through the cold winter days, and we hope to provide even more help in the future.

The children are very talented, smart and modest. They are excellent pupils. Little Ognjen, who is only five, can already read and write. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs www.serbsforserbs.org PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 Phone: +1-312-85-SERBS

HELP FOR THE SERBS IN KRAJINA ARRIVED

…………………………………………………………...

HELP FOR FAMILY KANTAR FROM KRAJINA

During the last couple of days, we successfully delivered last part of the help for the families in Krajina, whom we visited in the middle of June, in the scope of the Easter action. Due to the slow inflow of funds, we delivered help to family Buncic and additional help to family Ljubicic, respectively, with the delay. We provided a cow for family Buncic, in the amount of 1,000 EUR, while we also delivered a window for the four-member family Ljubicic, in the amount of 280 EUR, after obtaining a bed earlier.

Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped during November a five-member family Kantar from Donji Lapac in Krajina. The help consisted in providing the material and equipment for heating in the amount of 650 EUR. We have already helped family Kantar a year ago, by providing the material for the isolation of the house. Parents Branimir and Irena and their children Milana (8), Jelena (6) and Milos (1) are very grateful to all the people of good will who donated and thus enabled us to help them.

In order to provide help soon after visiting the returnee families in Krajina, and to visit the great number of families, we call upon all the donors to support our activities according to their possibilities. Please, support the ongoing actions, and especially the big Christmas action for the Serbs in Krajina which will take place in the beginning of the following year. SERBS FOR SERBS ON THE HOLY MOUNTAIN

Members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the Holy Mountain and a great number of monasteries in the middle of November. The most important was the visit to the Hilandar monastery, where the brotherhood of the monastery welcomed us and allowed us to stay there despite the numerous visits from the people worldwide.

During our staying we visited monasteries: Hilandar, Esfigmen, Kutlumus, the Anchoress of St. Sava in Kareja, the Church of St. Andrej and the Congregational Church in Kareja. In our return to Serbia we visited relics of St. Dimitrije in Thessalonica.

VIEW ON VISEGRAD FROM THE NEW HOME

Visegrad is one of the towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina who received the most of refugees during the civil war. Many of them stayed, because they had nowhere to go. Family Pecirep also came to Visegrad during the war, consisting then of Zorica, her sisters and their father. Zorica and her four children finally moved into a devastated house. Marija Gavrilovic from Munich found them in that house, and thus commenced the action of help for them. Apart from the donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs also joined the action, as well as the Serbian network from Canada. Thanks to that, a single mother and her children got a house in which they moved recently.

All five of them were in the house when we visited them. Thanks to the mayor, many works around the house were finished, but there is a lot to be done yet. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs www.serbsforserbs.org PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 Phone: +1-312-85-SERBS

They can live only on the first floor in two rooms, which represents a luxury for them, considering the previous settlement. They need furniture, but they are happy that no one can expel them out of the house. However, Zorica and her older daughter Violeta are trying to settle the things they brought with them. They are very thankful. Good people need to help them in the future. They have a beautiful view on Visegrad from their window, but it cannot replace food, nor firewood.

Their income consists of the KM 180 of child benefit. None of them is employed, nor can that change in the foreseeable future. They have a small garden around the house, so agriculture is not an option. There is not enough food, nor firewood.

“TROJKA IZ BLOKA” WEBSITE LAUNCHED

The long term goal of “Trojka iz bloka” is to renew and build at least 5,000 bathrooms until 2025.

The project “Trojka iz bloka” is a charity project for building and equipping the bathroom for the needs of the socially endangered families in the Balkan. The project is being conducted throughout the sport manifestation of shooting three-pointers, which aims at gathering of young people, celebrities from sport, culture and music and a great number of sponsors who will support the project financially. The project was initiated due to the difficult living conditions of great number of families with many children, mostly in rural areas, who don’t have elementary hygiene conditions. During the last eight years, representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs learned those facts. Apart from the great endeavor of the organization, the real needs have not yet been fulfilled, which calls upon the overall social mobilization.

We plan to organize this sport-charity project in all big towns across Serbia and Balkan, so that people could be included, in their local communities, in the fulfillment of aims of “Trojka iz bloka” through the socially responsible work.
