STILL TIME TO STOP LANDFILL PLAN AT BEAUTY SPOT SITE, SAY CAMPAIGNERS Parbold Hill

TIME is running out for campaigners to voice their objections to a West Lancashire beauty spot being used as a landfill site for inert waste. Among concerns should the plan go ahead are the number of lorries which would head for the site to dump the waste. Residents both local to the area and people from further afield who

enjoy the stunning views Parbold Hill offers, have serious worries about a new proposed access at the brow of the already congested A5209. There are also fears the beauty spot will be spoiled for years to come if dumping is allowed, although the firm behind the application - Maybrook Investments Ltd based in Worcestershire - have promised to return the land to its current condition and indeed improve the facilities now on offer.
