Competition judges Mayor of Maghull Cllr John Sayers and David Hartley of Maghull and Aughton Rotarians were impressed so many shops brightened up their windows to help to provide a festive feel for shoppers. Maghull Town Council’s community services manager, Phil Dillon, said: “It’s good to recognise the lengths shop owners will go to encourage people to shop locally.” The runners up were Flower Guy Florist and Alexandra May’s Florist, who were each nominated by local residents.
