Dan Hill enjoys a fortune cookie with daughters Ebony (left) and Evie as he makes his final preparations for Beijing and the Great Wall of China.

LOCAL amateur footballer Dan Hill is about to make his biggest challenge yet tackling the Great Wall of China! Dan, who is the head fundraiser for a cancer charity, is used to taking on all sorts of challenges to keep donations coming but the ‘wall’ will be his most ambitious yet. The keen sportsman, who plays as a defender for Stonecutters FC, a JMO Sports Park league club in Skelmersdale, flies out to Beijing this week for the charity Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s trek along the Great Wall. Dan, a dad-of-two, will be part of a 17-strong
