More funding to tackle borough’s pothole problem SEFTON will receive a government grant of more than £175,700 to tackle potholes and improve road quality, it has been announced. The funding was announced by Transport Secretary Chris Grayling as part of a £200 million national investment programme. The money includes £50 million that will be
provided directly to councils to tackle potholes and flood resilience, as well as £151 million to reward examples of councils’ best practice, helping councils to invest in innovative technology that will improve the conditions of the roads.
