FAMILIES OF NUISANCE TEENS TO GET LETTER FROM POLICE Report by Danielle Thompson AROUND 20 families in the Formby area will receive letters from Merseyside Police outlining their teenagers' ‘unacceptable’ antisocial behaviour. The move is a bid to crack down on gangs of young people making residents' lives a misery in the town. Youths who have been involved in incidents around the village centre and near Duke Street park, which include house windows being smashed, wing mirrors removed from cars, vehicles and homes being egged, thefts, intimidating behaviour, stone-throwing, fights, fireworks aimed at cars and homes, and bins being set on fire, have been identified and police hope a letter home will deliver the ‘short, sharp shock’ needed to address their behaviour.
