Report by Tom Martin A 15-year-old boy was the victim of a terrifying knifepoint robbery in a Waterloo park when he was threatened by two youths who stole his bike. The young victim was approached by two males, aged between 15-19, who were armed with a hunting-style knife. They held the weapon to his chest and demanded he handed over his Whyte 901 bike, which he only received as a recent birthday gift. They also told him to empty his pockets and they took his phone and a five pound note before fleeing the park. The shocking incident happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, October 16 near the play area in Victoria Park. The 15-year-old's mother posted a warning on Facebook following the knifepoint robbery and said: “My 15year-old was robbed at knifepoint in Victoria Park by two 6ft males. “One wearing a blue jacket, blond hair, stubble. The other in black, all hooded up. “After holding an eight-inch huntingstyle knife to his chest, while they went through his pockets and took his phone and a fiver, they made off with this Whyte 901 bike which he has had since his birthday just five weeks ago.”
