INSIDE THIS WEEK: Rimrose park action group event aims to raise funds for campaign CAMPAIGNERS who are fighting against plans to build a dual carriageway through Rimrose Valley Country Park are to hold a fundraising event. Rimrose Valley Friends want to boost their funding as they continue to challenge the governmentowned company, which wants to build a road through the centre ofthe south Sefton park to create better links between Switch Island and the dock. The event will be held on Friday, August 3 at St William of York Parish Centre from 7pm. Tickets cost £10 and this includes free entry into a prize draw. There will be live music and a disco, as well as a raffle, auction and a bingo. A FAMILY from Seaforth have spoken of how they managed to escape a blaze at their home with the help of neighbours.
