Jamie Carragher and Mark King at the Brunswick centre
Jamie back at his old youth club to present life-saving defibrillator Jamie Carragher went ‘back to his roots’ to deliver a defibrillator to The Brunswick Youth and Community Centre. The former Liverpool defender turned TV soccer pundit grew up playing at the ‘The Brunny’, on Marsh Lane, and he was back there on Thursday, February 6 to hand over a defibrillator. The potentially-life saving piece of medical equipment
will be accessible for any of the 600 people who attend the centre each week. Carragher and his charity the 23 Foundation has managed to fundraise more than £250,000 and through a partnership with the Oliver King Foundation, want to put defibrillators across amateur football grounds and other sites throughout Merseyside.
