Comparison firm fined for sending out spam texts Pensioner tied up by gang who ransacked his Walton home A GANG who broke into a Walton house tied up a pensioner and forced his terrified wife to watch as they ransacked their home for cash and jewellery. Four men forced their way into the home on Bidston Road before tying up the man, aged in his 70s, and making his wife watch as they stole money and expensive items. The man suffered cuts and bruising and was taken to hospital to be treated, while his wife was left shaken by the ordeal. Police are now appealing for information to catch the culprits of the ‘confrontational burglary’, which happened on Saturday, January 13 at around 12.30am.
