As one of the leading enterprises in Chinese fastener industry, CHINFAST has cultivated a strong international reputation by superior product quality, innovative service models, and global market layout. Looking back on its development history, CHINFAST has not only excelled in product manufacturing but also successfully expanded into DIY packaging services, demonstrating its keen market insight and strong execution ability through strategic transformation.
Strategic Transformation:
From Manufacturing to Service
CHINFAST initially focused on manufacturing multi-functional wood screws and decking screws. With excellent product quality and high-efficiency production capabilities, it quickly secured a competitive edge in the fastener industry. However, as market demands became more diversified and customers' service requirements increased, CHINFAST realized that relying solely on manufacturing operations would no longer meet customers' comprehensive needs. The company embarked on a strategic expansion into DIY packaging service area as early as five years ago.
This strategic transformation decision was not
accidental but was based on a deep understanding of market trends and accurate analysis of customer preferences for smallbatch, tailored packaging solutions. CHINFAST keenly captured this market opportunity and laid a solid foundation for the smooth development of the DIY packaging service through a series of hardware and software upgrades, including an automated warehouse, a professional accessory design team, and a state-of-the-art packaging production line. Meanwhile, the integrated ERP system further improved production efficiency, enabling the efficient operation of the DIY packaging service. These enhancements not only elevated CHINFAST's service capabilities but also provided customers with more flexible and efficient solutions.
Competitive Edge: DIY Packaging Service
CHINFAST's DIY packaging service stands out by robust technical infrastructure and an experienced team. The company, relying on the cost advantage from industrial-scale manufacturing, offers customers highly competitive packaging solutions. Whether it is product quality, outer packaging design, or delivery timelines, CHINFAST strives for excellence and ensures full customer satisfaction.
In terms of customized services, CHINFAST has demonstrated outstanding innovation capabilities. For example, a European customer originally purchased bulk goods and packaged them independently. After learning about
CHINFAST's DIY packaging service, the customer placed a trial order for one container. The CHINFAST team not only optimized the product structure and packaging process for the customer but also invited the customer to visit the automated packaging process on-site. The customer was full of praise for CHINFAST's highly efficient automated operation level and professional packaging team and immediately decided to entrust all DIY businesses to CHINFAST - a testament to the company's commitment to innovation and customer-centricity.
Future Opportunities:
Deeply Plowing the Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel Fasteners
CHINFAST has been consistently dedicating full efforts to the R&D of new fastener products. Over the coming years, CHINFAST intends to enhance the high-end carbon steel fasteners and stainless steel fasteners as one of its advancement paths, aiming to help customers achieve a more efficient user experience. The company believes that through continuous innovation and technological upgrades, it can meet the market's demand for high-quality fasteners and assist customers in standing out in the market competition with better fastener solutions.
Conclusion
CHINFAST has become a benchmark enterprise in Chinese fastener industry with its excellent product quality and innovative service models. The strategic transformation from manufacturing to service not only demonstrates CHINFAST's keen market insight but also lays a solid foundation for its future sustainable development. In the future journey, CHINFAST will continue to be customer-centered and innovation-driven, forging ahead in the fastener industry.

Bulten Reports Stable Q2
Bulten Group has reported net sales amounted to SEK 1.337 billion (€119.8 million) for the second quarter of 2025, a decrease of 8.8% on the same period the previous year (Q2 of 2024: SEK 1.466 billion). Operating earnings totalled SEK 61 million, equating to an operating margin of 4.6% – with restructuring costs of approximately SEK 8 million having a negative impact on operating earnings.
Bulten Group is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of fasteners to the automotive industry, as well as other industries – such as consumer electronics. Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, the company has approximately 1,900 employees around the world.
Axel Berntsson, president and CEO at Bulten Group, reports: "Our Q2 results were in-line with both the previous year and the previous quarter. Sales to segments, such as medtech and consumer electronics were strong, while volumes for light vehicles fell slightly as a result of the downturn in the automotive sector."
In June, Bulten also decided to initiate a strategic review of which products should be manufactured in-house versus externally sourced in the future, as well as how the company should be organised. The review includes an assessment of the potential consequences of consolidating and/or divesting one or more of the Group's manufacturing facilities.
Provisional Anti-Dumping Duties on Chinese Headless Screws
The European Commission has published its regulation applying anti-dumping duties on screws without heads, originating in the People's Republic of China, with a range from 62.3% to 80.7%. The regulation came into force on Tuesday 17th June and applies to imports of the product concerned into the EU from that date.
According to the definition of the product concerned in Article 1, Section 2 of the regulation, the provisional anti-dumping duty is imposed on imports of screws and bolts, whether or not with their nuts and washers, without heads, of iron or steel other than stainless steel, regardless of tensile strength, excluding coach screws and other woodscrews, screw hooks and screw rings, self-tapping screws, and screws and bolts for fixing railway track construction material, currently falling under CN codes 7318 15 42 and 7318 15 48 and originating in PR China.
The full text of the regulation can be found here: https:// eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=OJ:L_202501189
EU Commission reviews Chinese cooperating exporting procedures
The British and Irish Association of Fastener Distributors (BIAFD) has also reported that the EU Commission is currently assessing the Chinese cooperating exporting producers subject
to the reduced provisional anti-dumping duty rate of 67.4% on imports of headless screws, including threaded rods, from the People's Republic of China. These companies are listed in the Annex of the Commission's Implementing Regulation.
The applicant, the European Industrial Fasteners Institute (EIFI), has expressed concerns that many of the listed entities may not actually be manufacturers of the specified product, but rather traders or producers of different goods. As a result, the Commission asked the relevant Chinese companies to provide both the original and an English translation of their articles of association and business licence by 26th June 2025.
EU importers should be aware that the Commission may conclude, following its investigation, that not all the companies currently benefiting from the reduced provisional duty rate meet the criteria for doing so. This means that, as a result of the investigation procedure, the duty rates for certain suppliers may be amended, with the consequence that the (higher) general duty rate will apply to certain companies.
A Mood of Cautious Optimism
Würth Group's preliminary figures for the first half of 2025 indicate a slight trend towards a return to growth. In the first half of 2025, Würth Group was able to increase its consolidated sales by 2.2% to €10.4 billion (adjusted for currency effects, growth was 2.7%), while generating an operating result of €475 million.
Overall, Würth Group reports that the business climate appears to be improving slightly, despite the erratic US economic policy. The number of orders the Group received over the past few weeks points to an acceleration in growth in the second half of 2025.
For now, Würth Group is entering the coming months with cautious optimism. Measures taken by Germany's newly elected federal government are fostering a sense of optimism in the national economy, which could quickly replace the previous pessimism and dissatisfaction among the population.

Effects of Domestic Producer Price Index on the Fastener Industry
Annual changes in the four sectors of industry were mining by 28.30%, manufacturing by 24.02%, electricity, gas generation and distribution by 22.10% and water supply by 55.74%.
Annual changes in main industrial groups were increased by 21.91% for intermediate goods, increased by 31.35% for durable consumer goods, increased by 26.40% for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 20.82% for energy, increased by 28.34% for capital goods, monthly.
Reflections on the Fastener Industry
Cost pressure: Steel-based fasteners are directly affected by cost increases in the manufacturing industry. The annual producer price increase of close to 24% requires companies to develop more careful strategies in the supply of intermediate goods and capital investments.
Supply chain effect: The high increase in both intermediate goods and capital goods can drive up the costs of raw materials and spare parts used in production. Need for price adjustments: The rising cost trend of durable and non-durable consumer goods may necessitate the reflection of price increases in final products. Sustainability and competition: In order to maintain competitiveness in the domestic market and exports, it is important for manufacturers to invest in areas such as efficiency, coating technologies and automation.
Result
TurkStat's July 2025 data show that the upward trend in producer prices creates a strong cost pressure in the fastener sector. In particular, the 24% annual increase in the manufacturing sector will force companies to review their price strategies and turn to efficiency-oriented improvements.

From T-bolts to Global Accessories: How Xinchun Opens Overseas Markets on Quality
-
Zhejiang Xinchun Fastening Piece Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Xinchun") has been deeply engaged in the field of accessories for industrial aluminum profile systems for many years. By adhering to quality, continuous innovation, and development, Xinchun has occupied an important position in the industry. In this issue, we spoke with General Manager Yang Chun about Xinchun's history, operating philosophy, and global ambitions.
Product Matrix
Xinchun began to produce screws and nuts for industrial aluminum profile connections in 2005, starting with T-nuts and T-bolts. Over time, the company's product range has been continuously enriched. At present, Xinchun has applicable accessories for some of the world's mainstream industrial aluminum profiles. In terms of product production, Xinchun's accessories are manufactured in accordance with the drawings and requirements of foreign original factories as much as possible; at the same time, the company itself has product development capabilities, and can provide suggestions and customize products according to customer requirements. When designing new accessories, 3D software is used for drawing and simulated assembly to ensure that the design is correct before trial production.
Adhering to Quality
Xinchun's goal is to provide customers with the highest quality products. Mr. Yang believes that only superior products can command fair prices and sustainable profits. Relentlessly competing on price alone leads to a narrowing path, ultimately ending in a dead end. Furthermore, without adequate profit margins, compromising on quality through shortcuts becomes inevitable. He emphasizes that he would rather customers leave Xinchun due to price than due to quality concerns. Currently, while some cost-driven clients in certain regions have gradually shifted their business elsewhere, many quality-focused customers have maintained enduring partnerships with Xinchun for over a decade, some even exceeding two decades.
Quality Control Advancement
Customers in different regions have different requirements for products. Relatively speaking, European clients prioritize performance and dimensional conformity; Japanese clients place greater emphasis on appearance finish. Xinchun encountered significant difficulties when first collaborating with Western European clients. These clients insisted on strict inspection against drawings; any dimensional deviation, even when functionally irrelevant, was unacceptable and triggered
An Interview with Yang Chun, General Manager of Zhejiang Xinchun Fastening Piece Co., Ltd.
claims. As a result, Xinchun paid substantial compensation and also bore the cost of airfreighting replacement goods to them. Frequently, the air freight costs even exceeded the value of the products themselves.
Precisely because of these experiences, the company implemented changes. Gradually, the number of customer claims decreased significantly. In 2024, during a visit by the Quality Assurance department of a Swiss client, the representative stated that since he joined the company, among their Chinese suppliers, Xinchun's products have never had quality problems.
Focus on Environmental Protection
Xinchun's products are all polished to make the surface look better. However, there will be wastewater discharge during the grinding process. Xinchun has installed wastewater treatment equipment in its factory to recycle wastewater and meet discharge standards. Later, the company improved the process so that there was no wastewater discharge during the grinding process. In addition, waste gas treatment equipment has been installed on all forming machines. At that time, the manufacturers who came to install the equipment all said that the waste gas generated during Xinchun's production process was very little, and it was even unnecessary to install the equipment.
Future Plans
For the future, Xinchun will continue to pursue a quality-
led strategy, deepen its presence in this field, and will not reduce quality for the sake of sales volume. Mr. Yang firmly believes that only with profits can there be development. At the same time, the company will actively explore overseas markets and participate in international exhibitions. At present, Xinchun's products have strong competitiveness in the Western European market.

① This specification covers requirements for quenched and tempered alloy steel screws with diameters from 0.060 to 11 2 inches (metric M1.6 to M42), having a minimum ultimate tensile strength of 170 ksi (1170 MPa min).
② The standard defines it as "Grade 11.9" (actually approximately equivalent to ISO Property Class 12.9), which is equivalent to the popular Grade 9 in U.S. trade.
Notes:
a. This specification specifies quality assurance requirements for carbon and alloy steel wires and bars used in mechanical fasteners. The manufacturing of materials shall comply with the smelting, casting, deoxidation, grain size, hardenability, and heat treatment specifications of this standard.
b. Several material grades are recommended in the appendix of the standard (see Table S1.1), such as Grade 4037 steel in ASTM G40370.
① The "Grade 9" ultra-high strength externally thread fasteners popular in U.S. trade have high strength, high hardness, and correspondingly high stress. Therefore, caution should be exercised in production and material selection.
② "Grade 9" is equivalent to Grade 12.9 of ISO 898-1. Currently, there is no clear standard specification in the United States, and it is recommended to refer to ASTM F2882/F2882M standard. At present, U.S. companies such as Fastenal, PFC, and BBI have issued corresponding enterprise standards.
Notes:
a. These "Gr9" fasteners are common in engineering. All "Grade 9" fasteners are manufactured using proprietary processes and materials.
b. Grade 9, equivalent to Grade 12.9 in ASTM A574 and ISO 898-1, represents the highest-strength standardized fasteners. Due to its high hardness and strength, it has a relatively obvious tendency to brittleness. Therefore, appropriate technical measures should be taken in the manufacturing process, and caution should be exercised in application.
① This guide, issued by the Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI), aims to provide information on the mechanical properties of fasteners made of bainitic structure materials and ultra-high strength steels. It also offers preventive measures and processing technologies related to ultra-high strength steel fasteners, as well as guidelines for their application in automotive standard joint design.
② The guide specifies 3 ultra-high strength grades with ultimate tensile strengths of Grade 14.8U (1400~1576 MPa), Grade 15.8U (1500~1670 MPa), or Grade 16.8U (1600~1770 MPa), all with a bainitic metallographic microstructure.
③ The screws covered in this guide are bolts from M6 to M20, suitable for service temperature ranging from -50℃ to 200℃.
④ Ultra-high strength bolts and screws with a tensile strength of 1400 MPa or higher are highly susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement. They are only used in engines, gearboxes, axles, and structural components with low corrosion risk.

With a population of 146 million, abundant resources, and a solid manufacturing foundation, Russia is ushering in a new round of industrial revitalization. Against this backdrop, its fastener market presents prominent characteristics such as strong demand, concentrated imports and an urgent need for industrial upgrading, especially in industries like machinery, automotive, construction and furniture.
Currently, the import market for fasteners in Russia is mainly distributed across countries and regions such as China, Germany, Turkey, and India. This article will comprehensively analyze the current situation and opportunities of Russia's fastener market from dimensions such as the recent situation of Russia's manufacturing industry and import conditions.
Manufacturing and Fastener Market
Russia's four major industrial concentration areas are mainly distributed in Moscow (comprehensive heavy industry), St. Petersburg (shipbuilding and electronics), the Urals (steel and machinery), and Novosibirsk (energy and military industry). Each of these four industrial zones has its own characteristics and forms a fastener demand matrix, with a focus not only on quantity but more importantly on high-grade and special fastener requirements.
It is the strong and diverse industrial foundation formed by these four industrial zones that provides the core driving force for the comprehensive development of Russia's industry and is directly reflected in the strong growth of its macroeconomy.
Russia's economy grew by 4.1% YoY in 2024, 0.2 percentage
points higher than the official forecast, with the total economic output breaking through 200 trillion rubles for the first time in history. This growth was mainly driven by the processing industry: the machinery manufacturing industry grew significantly by 19.5% YoY, contributing 40% of the growth in the processing industry. Among them, the production of transportation machinery increased by 29.6%, automobile manufacturing by 16.5%, and the output of computers and electronic technology rose 28.8%; the pharmaceutical industry also achieved a significant growth of 18%.
From the perspective of application fields, the mechanical engineering and automotive industries are at the forefront of fastener demand, followed by the construction and furniture industries. In terms of product types, bolts (37%), self-tapping screws (34%), and nuts (19%) constitute the main subdivided categories, a structure that highly matches the types of fasteners (steel products) exported by China to Russia.
In 2024, the Russian fastener market continued its trend of high dependence on imports. Among the top 10 supplying countries, China accounted for 87.66% of the total export volume with an export value of USD 567 million, and its products (priced at USD 1.44 per kilogram) boasted significant cost-performance advantages. Although European countries such as Germany and Austria supplied high-end products with a unit price exceeding USD 11 per kilogram, their market shares remained limited due to geopolitical constraints. In contrast, the imports of special fasteners from countries like Thailand (priced at USD 41.20 per kilogram) reflected Russia's demand in the field of precision fasteners.

On-site Insight: Coexistence of Popularity and Challenges
CFM's on-site staff observed strong visitor turnout, with the booth of MISUMI industrial products e-commerce platform being particularly bustling - highlighting the rapid development of the e-commerce model and digital transformation in the industrial supply chain.
Japanese companies sent cross-functional teams to relevant exhibitions, including sales, procurement, marketing, human resources, and technical personnel, reflecting their strong commitment to industry exchanges and technological
updates. However, some exhibitors told CFM staff that although the exhibition remained popular, changing composition and number of exhibitors indicated intensified market competition.
Chinese exhibitors generally noted that Japanese customers are renowned for their strict quality standards and long decision-making cycles. It often takes two to three years to convert potential leads into orders. Although Chinese fasteners are recognized for their "high cost-performance ratio" in overseas markets, Japanese-funded enterprises still prefer purchasing from local suppliers when quality and price are comparable.
Market Analysis: Panorama of Japan's Fastener Trade
As one of the world's high-end manufacturing centers, Japan's demand for fasteners leans toward stability and precision. Public data shows that Japan's annual import value is approximately USD 3 billion, with China being the largest supplier, accounting for nearly 60%. However, Chinese exports are mainly general-purpose and mid-range products; in key fields such as high-end precision, automotive and aerospace fasteners, Japanese local enterprises and those from Europe and the United States continue to dominate, with a notable price gap and highlighting the urgency for Chinese enterprises to upgrade and innovate.
Statistics show that Japan's fastener imports rose during
2020-2022 but subsequently fell back. By 2024, both import value and average unit price had dropped below 2022 levels. Following a peak in 2021, Japan's fastener exports declined year by year, with both export value and average unit price continuing to decrease through 2024. Although Japan's fastener export value remained significantly higher than its import value, the persistent decline in export unit prices resulted in a narrowing overall trade surplus.
CFM's Role: Deepening Services to Connect China and Japan
As a media outlet in China's fastener industry, CFM has participated in Manufacturing World Tokyo multiple times. At this year's show, it actively distributed the 42nd issue of CFM, efficiently reached Japanese, Korean, and other international purchasers while serving as an important channel for disseminating updates on China's fastener industry.
Meanwhile, CFM staff collected first-hand market information and conducted in-depth interviews with exhibitors, providing real-time insights into the Japanese market. This trip laid a solid foundation for the upcoming ChinaFastener. com Global Business Trip - Japan Station, which will be held in December this year, continuing to assist Chinese enterprises in developing and maintaining valuable Japanese customer resources.
Faced with high barriers to entry and long lead times in the Japanese market, CFM believes that the intensive efforts of Chinese enterprises and the support of various channels will be key to breaking through market bottlenecks and achieving long-term success in Japan.
CFM Post-Show Review: How to Tap into South Asia's Largest Fastener Market?
The India Fastener Show was successfully held from July 11 to 13, 2025. Over the three days, the exhibition halls were buzzing with activity, featuring more than 180 exhibitors, 225 brands, and over 15,000 fastener products and supporting solutions. Professional attendance exceeded 10,000, setting a new record as South Asia's largest fastener exhibition.
Official data reveals broad sector coverage - including automotive manufacturing, construction engineering, industrial production, aerospace, electronics, specialty alloy materials, manufacturing equipment, measurement technology, quality inspection, automated assembly, and warehousing and logistics systems.
The 42nd issue of CFM made its debut during the event. Many Indian buyers and distributors scanned QR codes to access the digital edition, inquiring deeply about Chinese manufacturers' production capabilities, delivery cycles, and after-sales services in India. One buyer showed keen interest in solutions advertised in CFM, extensively questioning exhibitors about capacity and delivery before submitting onsite collaboration proposals.
According to data from the 19th issue of Industrial Directory of Chinese Fastener, India ranked as China's 9thlargest export partner for steel fasteners in 2024, with bilateral trade reaching USD 297.5 million. India also secured the position as the 2nd-largest export destination for fasteners from Thailand (USD 20.0 million) and South Korea (USD 13.5 million).
These figures underscore India's growing influence in the global fastener trade. Beyond its strong trade relationship with
China, India is becoming a key market for other Asian countries such as South Korea and Thailand. With manufacturing expanding worldwide, India's fastener market holds immense potential to deepen international partnerships and elevate its role in global supply chains.
Notably, following the 15th Fastener Expo Shanghai, a 14-member delegation led by Mr. Abhijat Sanghvi - President of the Fasteners Association of India (FAI) and Managing Director of Sang Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. - visited leading Chinese manufacturers including Sijin Intelligent Forming Machinery Co., Ltd., Ningbo Sijin Benniu Machinery Co., Ltd., and Yongjin Smart Devices (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., securing multiple procurement intentions.
These visits reinforced industrial ties between China and India, highlighting India's drive toward international manufacturing standards. As India's manufacturing sector surges, demand grows for high-end, specialized, and unique fasteners, Chinese enterprises are shifting from a "costeffective" approach to one emphasizing "high-end, advanced, specialized, and distinctive" solutions, unlocking new growth and fostering sustainable partnerships.
CFM at Vietnam Manufacturing Expo - Competition and Opportunities in the Vietnamese Market
From August 6 to 8, 2025, the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo (VME) was held at I.C.E. Hanoi. Over three days, 200 international brands from over 20 countries and regions worldwide participated together, attracting over 10,000 professional visitors.
According to on-site observations by CFM staff, exhibitors specializing in fasteners and fixing solutions were concentrated in a dedicated exhibition area. More than 60 Chinese domestic enterprises and Chinese-invested Vietnamese companies participated, along with over 30 local Vietnamese enterprises, making them dominant participants in this section.
Staff feedback indicated that visitors showed strong interest in Chinese fastener enterprises and their products, with promising potential for further cooperation. Additionally, the CFM magazines distributed on-site were well-received. Visitors from Vietnam, Japan, Europe, America, and Taiwan, China, actively requested the magazines and inquired about subscription methods, hoping to connect with suppliers more effectively through this channel.
Notably, representatives from NSS Fasteners (Pty) Ltd., Africa's largest industrial fastener distributor, visited the CFM booth. CFM successfully established business ties with
the company, laying an important foundation for Chinese enterprises to expand into the African market.
The exhibition hall of this event was divided into sections such as mechanical manufacturing, automation equipment, fasteners and fixing solutions, industrial measurement, mold manufacturing and maintenance. The venue attracted a large number of visitors and facilitated efficient exchanges. On-site staff distributed the latest issue of CFM, conducted market
demand research, and engaged in friendly communication with local Vietnamese enterprises to prepare for the business trip plan to Vietnam. Several exhibitors subscribed to CFM onsite, expecting to expand their fastener procurement channels.
It is worth mentioning that, aside from Chinese exhibitors, Japanese enterprises were also a significant part of the expo. Co-organized with VME, the 11th Vietnam-Japan Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Hanoi (SIE 2025) featured 40 booths, among which 20 were dedicated to the procurement needs of Japanese buyers and 20 to the capacity display of Vietnamese manufacturers. This precisely matched the localized procurement demands of Japanese automobile, motorcycle, electronics, and home appliance enterprises in Vietnam.
To gain a more intuitive understanding of Japanese enterprises' supply chain layout in Vietnam, CFM's global business trip group, organized in 2024, had already visited TOKYO BYOKANE CO., LTD., a Japanese-invested enterprise with a factory in Vietnam. In addition, the group visited multiple Chinese-invested Vietnamese factories, local Vietnamese manufacturing enterprises, and well-known distributors, conducting on-site investigations into local market demands and cooperation models in Vietnam.
Statistics show that among the top 10 regions exporting fasteners to Vietnam in 2024, mainland China ranked first in both value and quantity, totaling USD 518.23 million and 174,614,821 kilograms, respectively. It was followed by South Korea and Japan, with South Korea ranking second at USD 82.68 million and Japan third at USD 38.58 million. The combined share of these three regions accounted for over 90% of the total among the top 10 regions.
