SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2023 A PLATINUM CLUB
Orioles
Welcome
Back, Andreas Ravens
Brad Chambers
President,
Board of Governors
FROM THE PRESIDENT
It is my distinct honor to have been elected the 13th President of the Board of Governors. Thank you for your support and trust as together we will enhance and strengthen the unique experience that distinguishes The Center Club.
Our new five-year strategic plan will be our guide to grow membership, reinvest in the physical space and elevate our strong quality of service. Concentrating on continued growth through membership renewal and recruitment is key. The Center Club thrives in diversity, and we will focus on our growth through age, gender, ethnicity and professional background. In addition, understanding, implementing and promoting the types of event offerings and activities that are valuable to our members will help us succeed in growing our Club.
Throughout the past few years, the Club has been dedicated to refreshing the gathering and dining areas to provide contemporary settings while maintaining our heritage. Now it is time to renovate our two kitchens with innovative culinary technology to complement our reinvigorated atmosphere. Ensuring service is not disrupted while these much needed renovations are taking place is an important factor. We will take a thoughtful approach to develop a comprehensive plan for the sequencing of renovation activities so it is seamless to our members.
The Center Club is highly regarded for its exceptional service—a significant component to the overall experience. It was this experience that attracted me to join the Club 15 years ago. Through the years, I have relied on it for both professional and personal occasions. As we embark on the strategic plan, our service naturally will be elevated to maintain a flawless experience.
Each of us has benefited from our membership in countless ways. I encourage you to invite family, friends and colleagues to consider joining the Club as well as to renew your own membership. Combined, our talents, ideas and involvement are the foundations on which our Club experience flourishes. I look forward to seeing you soon at The Center Club.

Welcome Home, Andreas!
The Center Club is buzzing with excitement as members and staff eagerly await the return of Andreas Doulamatis, Club Manager and esteemed Maitre d’. We sat down with Andreas to discuss how he feels about the Club and returning.
For Andreas, however, it isn’t a return at all. In his heart, he never truly left. Hospitality is deeply ingrained within him, and The Center Club has become his extended family. Andreas has been in hospitality for over 30 years, almost exclusively in the private club atmosphere. Although he

did venture into the world of restaurants, it is the unique ambiance of private clubs that he feels at home. Building relationships and forging connections with members and guests is a realm he finds unmatched elsewhere.
He believes hospitality is about greeting members and guests in a way that make them feel genuinely cared for. It requires an unwavering kindness, an optimistic outlook, an insatiable intellectual curiosity and the determination to work diligently and swiftly. This combination, he believes, is the key to providing an unparalleled experience.
Andreas carries with him not only his years of experience but also a profound sense of belonging. The Club is more than just a workplace; it is a haven where relationships flourish, where every interaction holds the promise of something extraordinary. With his unwavering dedication and genuine care for every member and guest, Andreas is poised to bring The Center Club experience to new heights, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who walk through its doors.
To the membership, Andreas has a heartfelt message. “I never felt alone. I’m grateful for the hundreds of cards and appreciate receiving an abundance of kindness and generosity and look forward to contributing to the Club again.”
And so, with open arms and warm hearts, we welcome back Andreas. We look forward to seeing him on Friday and Saturday evenings and on special occasions. Keep an eye out for an email announcing a welcome back reception for Andreas.
