Kevin M. Bonner General Manager
FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
It’s an exciting time here at The Center Club. Event attendance is at an all-time high and the word is out about our refreshed menus and cocktail offerings. Spring is definitely in the air!
Signs of the season are all around: a buzzing happy hour scene, March and April holiday reservations filling up the books, and a little more sunshine every day which means less coat check and more springtime finery and fun. Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt is an additional sign of the season. Make your reservation early for this member favorite.
Meanwhile, we’re seeing membership levels continue to grow. The Club’s success is dependent on you sharing it with those in your professional and social circles and we appreciate the effort made by our members.
Don’t miss pages 3-4 highlighting the women at The Center Club for Women’s History Month.
Is there a wedding or graduation in your family’s future? We’d be honored to help you make it extraordinary—remember that your Club is the region’s top private event space for celebrations of all sizes and styles. See page 13 for information.
Finally, mark your calendar for April 9 when we kick off baseball season with Opening Day festivities in your Orioles Pub. We guarantee you’ll bring luck to the ballpark when you check out the latest Orioles memorabilia on display before you head over to Camden Yards.
Of course, our members are already MVPs in our league. Here’s to your winning season ahead at The Center Club!

A Woman’s Place
IS AT THE CENTER CLUB
Women’s History Month is an ideal opportunity to profile Center Club members who also provide leadership on the board, committees and IntraClubs, helping to make the Club even more valuable for all.
As current co-chair of the Viewpoints program and longtime member of the Board of Governors, Denise’s connection to
The Center Club has evolved since she first visited it at One Charles Center (its previous location). At that time, she was an MBA student at Loyola University Maryland.
Years later, Denise became a financial advisor for Ameriprise and was in a position to plan and host meetings and social gatherings for clients and prospective clients. She became a member of The Center Club and quickly found it to be the ideal place for one-on-one networking and gatherings of all sizes. The Center Club handled everything, she said, and was always consistent, enabling her to focus on her clients.
She became more involved in the Club and was such an enthusiastic advocate that a colleague recommended her for the membership committee, which she went on to chair for six years.
Today, Denise works for CUSO Financial Services and uses The Center Club differently than she used to. “Now, for me, the Club is a place to wind down,” she says. She meets friends—old and new—and appreciates the ease of parking and the level of comfort. “I love being in the Club,” she says.
wonder who chooses the “cocktail of the month” at Bar100 and throughout The Center Club, look no further than the Cocktail Club, co-chaired by Stephanie Basu. “It’s where the party is,” she says.
When Stephanie and her husband relocated to Baltimore from New York City, a friend brought them to dinner at The Center Club. They recognized that the Club would be an excellent way to meet people and get to know their new city, so they became members.
Stephanie says that, although her work as a speech pathologist does not require extensive networking, she enjoys the social and community aspects of The Center Club. It reflects what she likes about Baltimore: “the urban environment with a small town feel,” she notes.
Stephanie is also involved with the Young Members Committee. She and her husband have enjoyed weekend and holiday gatherings as well.
The monthly Cocktail Club gatherings, along with trivia contests, have remained a great social outlet, even during the pandemic, she says. Each month, the culinary team shares several options for the “cocktail of the month,” which members can sample and vote on. It’s one way to contribute to the quality, distinctiveness and good cheer of The Center Club.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner, Tara Rudo’s Center Club membership has helped her cultivate client relationships and grow her business as a professional organizing service firm. No More Piles capitalizes on Tara and her team’s expertise to solve their clients’ organizational challenges, whether just one room, a whole house or a life transition.
Tara co-chairs Executive Forum 2 at the Club with Gina Ramsey who, not coincidentally, was her first connection to the Club. This coed group was especially helpful as Tara sought to shift the focus of her business during the pandemic. With the help of the group, Tara redirected her attention to estate clearing and helping seniors who were downsizing. Her skills transferred seamlessly as she adapted her business model. As a result, “2022 was our best year ever,” she says.
As Tara continues to raise a family, she says there is yet another benefit to The Center Club. She can enjoy being a mom while still connecting with the professional side of her identity. There are opportunities for learning about business and other interesting topics. Tara remains inspired by other Club members, especially those in Women in Business.

Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcomed. Please call Reception at 410-727-7788 or visit www.centerclub.org to make a reservation.
UNACCOMPANIED GUEST POLICY
Members can extend a Guest Card to a friend or colleague which allows them to use the Club unaccompanied. Reservations must be made with Reception at least 48 hours in advance.
DRESS CODE
In all Club areas, including Bar100 and Joseph Meyerhoff Dining Room
A relaxed and well-dressed “smart casual” look is always welcome. Shirts without collars may now be worn and jackets are recommended. This does not include t-shirts or shirts with slogans or large graphics. Dark, untorn and nonfrayed denim can be worn. Sports logo apparel can be worn in Bar100 on game days only (Go O’s and Ravens!).
Joseph Meyerhoff Dining Room
Jackets are not required. They are recommended for men when wearing a shirt without a collar.
Orioles Pub
Hemmed shorts and athletic shoes in good condition may be worn. T-shirts and shorts/logo-themed apparel in good condition may be worn. If you would like more detailed information or an updated copy of the House Rules, reach out to Emily Ober, Member Services Coordinator.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Cell phones, laptops and other similar devices may be used in all areas of the Club outside of the Joseph Meyerhoff Dining Room with discretion so as not to impose upon other members and their guests. Only handheld communication devices may be used silently in the Meyerhoff Dining Room. The use of speaker phones is prohibited and all devices must be silenced throughout the Club.
PARKING
Although parking is complimentary on weekends and after 4 PM on weekdays, the Club has a limited number of spaces between 7 AM–4 PM on weekdays and it is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a flat rate of $15. We apologize that we cannot reserve parking spaces for any member. Additional parking can be found directly across the street from the building at 30 Light Street Garage with entrances on Light and Lombard Streets. Parking in the 100 Light building is free after 4 PM and on weekends for Center Club members. Show an ID at the Charles Street entrance.
