CEMA’S Exclusive LED Lighting Solution Cuts Rase Distribution’s Lighting Costs By Half
Founded in 1967, Rase Distribution has been providing logistics solutions for packaged hazardous waste within several sectors and industries.
CEMA Lighting installed bespoke lighting systems tailored to their requirements for both Rase facilities in Wickenby and Bardney saving an average of 57% on lighting energy costs across both sites.
In Wickenby, Rase Distribution was allocating almost £40,000 per year towards the running and maintenance of their current lighting system which was an old fluorescent tube and metal halide system. In line with CEMA Lighting’s 50% savings guarantee, the free consultation proposed financial savings of over 61%, exceeding Rase Distributions expectations.
Throughout the transit bay, storerooms and some office areas were traditional linear fittings with low-quality light levels dim and yellow in colour. These were replaced by a combination of CEMA Lighting’s market-leading 190lm/w LED Super Lumen Circular HighBay and our LED 60-watt high-output Linear fitting to create a consistent level of light, as well as suiting the higher ceilings.
At the distribution centre in Bardney, the main fittings were traditional linear fittings similar to the Wickenby site, which were replaced with CEMA Lighting’s exclusive LED 200 watt Super Lumen Circular HighBay to reduce the

running costs in this area alone by almost £4,500. The outdoor area was lit with 400w metal halide floodlights which were inefficient and took 15-20 minutes to warm up before operating at their peak. CEMA Lighting knew the perfect replacement was the LED 200-watt Adjustable Modular Floodlight fitting allowing the light to be directed to exactly where it was needed and cutting the energy consumption in half. As a result Rase Distribution are now only spending 48% of their original lighting costs running the new system in Bardney.
