Our Lighting Specialists Help Isuzu Truck Drastically Reduce Their Lighting Costs By 80%
Isuzu Truck (UK) Ltd supplies commercial vehicles to the UK market. Formed in 1996, the company has grown considerably and developed a comprehensive dealer network. In 2013 the company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Ltd Japan.

Their purpose-built headquarters based in Hatfield was also designed with a state-of-the-art technical centre which is where Isuzu carry out all of the technical training for their dealer service personnel.
CEMA Lighting recently installed a bespoke lighting system in the training centre at the Isuzu Truck UK site in Hatfield. It was discussed during the initial lighting consultation that Isuzu wanted to reduce the cost of their lighting system, with a much more efficient and reliable system.

Initially Isuzu had a series of PLL Flobay fittings above and around their training centre, these fittings were extremely inefficient, outputting a relatively low level of light compared to the amount of energy they were consuming; they also had a very low anticipated lifespan averaging at 10,000 hours, resulting in constant replacements, incurring costs through access equipment and replacement lamps. CEMA Lighting was able to replace these with their market leading 190Lm/w Super Lumen Highbay which drastically reduced Isuzu’s lighting costs by almost 80% eliminating any maintenance costs
with an overall lifespan of over 100,000 hours as well as increasing visibility throughout the training centre, creating a much brighter and whiter environment.
The new lighting system installed by CEMA Lighting was able to achieve Isuzu’s goal of installing an efficient and reliable lighting system, increasing the life expectancy of their lighting by over 600% as well as drastically reducing Isuzu’s lighting costs, giving them a return on investment of under 2 years.
