FEDERALEMISSIONSWARRANTY

NewHollandwarrantsthatyournew1996andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roaddieselenginewasdesigned,built,andequippedtoconformtoapplicable U.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyregulationsforaperiodofuseoffiveyearsor3,000hoursofoperation,whicheveroccursfirst.

Thenewmodelyear,classofdieselengine,andemissionapplicationdeterminationforyourengineareidentifiedontheemissioncontrol informationlabelaffixedtothetopofyourengineísrockerarmcover.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewequipmentissoldtothefirst retailpurchaser.

Anyemissioncontrolsystempartswhichareprovendefectiveduringnormalusewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.The warrantyrepairsandservicewillbeperformedbyanyauthorizedNewHollanddealeratthedealerísplaceofbusiness,withnochargeforpartsor labor(includingdiagnosis).

Astheengineowner,youareresponsibletoperformalltherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourownerísmanual.NewHollandwillnotdenyan emissionwarrantyclaimsolelybecauseyouhavenorecordofmaintenance;however,aclaimmaybedeniedifyourfailuretoperform maintenanceresultedinthefailureofawarrantedpart.Receiptscoveringregularmaintenanceshouldberetainedintheeventofquestionsand thesereceiptsshouldbepassedontoeachsubsequentowneroftheengine.

ItisrecommendedreplacementpartsusedformaintenanceorrepairsbeNewHollandServicePartstomaintainthequalityoriginallydesigned intoyouremissioncertifiedengine.Theuseofnon-NewHollandpartsdoesnotinvalidatethewarrantyonothercomponentsunlesstheuseof suchpartscausesdamagetowarrantedparts.

NewHollandwishestoassuretheemissioncontrolsystemswarrantyisbeingproperlyadministered.Ifyoubelieveyouhavenotreceivedthe serviceentitledtounderthiswarranty,youshouldcontactthenearestNewHollandBranchOfficeforassistance.Theaddressandphone numberofeachBranchOfficeisinyourvehicleownerísmanual.Ifadditionalassistanceorinformationisneeded,contact:

CALIFORNIAEMISSIONCONTROLWARRANTYSTATEMENT

YourWarrantyRightsandObligations

TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardandNewHollandarepleasedtoexplaintheemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour engine.InCalifornia, new1997andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesfrom100to150HPmustbedesigned,built,andequippedtomeettheStateísstringentanti-smog standards.NewHollandmustwarranttheemissioncontrol systemonyour enginefortheperiodsoftimelistedbelow,providedtherehasbeenno abuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenanceofyourengine.

Youremissioncontrolsystemincludespartssuchasthefuelinjection systemandtheairinduction system.

Whereawarrantableconditionexists,NewHollandwillrepairyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengineatnocosttoyou,includingdiagnosis,parts,andlabor. ManufacturerísWarrantyCoverage:

The1997andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesarewarrantedfromtheoriginaldateofdeliveryforfiveyearsor3,000hoursofoperation, whicheveroccursfirst.Ifanyemission-relatedpartonyourengineisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyNewHolland.

OwnerísWarrantyResponsibilities:

D Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourownerís manual.NewHollandrecommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengine,butNewHolland cannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.

D Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youshould,however,beawarethatNewHollandmaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyour heavy-dutyoff-roadengineoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenance,orunapprovedmodifications.

D Yourengineisdesignedtooperateoncommerciallyavailabledieselfuelonly.Useofanyotherfuelmayresultinyourenginenolonger operatingincompliancewithCaliforniaísemissionsrequirements.

D Youareresponsibleforinitiatingthewarrantyprocess.TheARBsuggeststhatyoupresentyourheavy-dutyoff-roadenginetoaNew Hollanddealerassoonasaproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedbythedealerasexpeditiouslyaspossible.

Ifyouhavequestionsregardingyourwarrantyrightsandresponsibilities,youshouldcontactyourBranchOfficeattheaddressandphonenumber listedontheOwnerAssistancepageofyourequipmentsoperatormanual.

D Priortotheexpirationofthewarranty,youmustgivenoticeofanyfailureofanemissioncontrolwarrantedpart.Suchnoticemustbegivento NewHollandoranauthorizeddealer,andyoumustdelivertheenginetotherepairlocation.

D You,theowner,areresponsibleforincidentalcostsincurredbyyourselforyouremployeesasaresultofawarrantablefailure.Examplesof suchcostsarecommunicationexpenses,mealsandlodging.

Anyreplacementpart,equivalentinperformanceanddurability,maybeusedintheperformanceofanymaintenanceorrepairsandmustbe providedwithoutchargetotheowner.TheuseofthesepartsdoesnotreducethewarrantyobligationsofNewHolland.However,NewHolland recommendstheuseofnew,genuineNewHollandservicepartsorNewHollandapprovedrebuiltpartsandassemblies.NewHollandalso recommendsthattheenginebeservicedbyaNewHollandauthorizeddealer.

NewHollandResponsibilities

Warrantyworkwillbeprovidedatnochargetotheowneratanyauthorizeddealer,usingnewgenuineNewHollandservicepartsorNewHolland approvedrebuiltpartsorassemblies..

Theownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborwhichleadstothedeterminationthatawarrantedpartisdefective,ifthediagnosticworkwas performedatawarrantystation.

NewHollandisliablefordamagestootherenginecomponentscausedbythefailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.

WarrantyLimitations

NewHollandisnotresponsibleforfailuresresultingfromabuseorneglectbyowneroroperator.

NewHollandwarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheengineisdesigned,built,andequippedsoastoconform withallapplicableregulationsadoptedbytheAirResourcesBoard,andthatitisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipwhichcausethe failureofawarrantedpart.

Anywarrantedpartwhichisnotscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenance,orwhichisscheduledonlyforregularinspectiontotheeffect ofìrepairorreplaceasnecessaryîiswarrantedforthewarrantyperiod.

Anywarrantedpartwhichisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceiswarrantedfortheperiodoftimepriortothefirstscheduled replacementpointforthatpart.

NewHollandisliablefordamagestootherenginecomponentscausedbythefailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.

Readthismanualcarefullyandkeepinaconvenient placeforfuturereference.Donothesitatetocontact yourlocaldealerforanyquestionsconcerningthe tractor.Thedealercanprovideskilledpersonnel, trainedbytheManufacturer,originalsparepartsand alltoolsandequipmentnecessaryforyourservice requirements.

Safetyprecautionsfortheoperatorandbystanders areshownonpagesviitoxiiiinclusive.Readthe safetyinstructionsandfollowrecommendationsand hints before startingtousethetractor.

SERVICEAFTERTHEFIRST50HOURSOF WORK

Theoperationsrequiredforthefirstserviceare shownattheendoftheManual,immediatelypriorto theindex.

Thetractorisdesignedasapowergeneratorand drive--propulsionunitforuseinnormalandtraditional agriculturalconditions.

Thetractorisalsodesignedtoprovidemaximum performance,economicrunningandeasyuseovera widerangeofoperations.Priortodelivery,all machinesarecarefullyinspected(byboththe Manufacturerandyourlocalauthoriseddealer),to makesurethattheyreachtheuserinperfect condition.Tomaintainthetractorinthisconditionand ensuretrouble--freeoperation,theroutine maintenancedescribedinSection3ofthismanual mustbecarriedoutatthespecifiedintervals.

CLEANINGTHETRACTOR

Yourtractorisanadvancedmachine,fittedwithan electro--hydrauliccontrolsystem.Careshouldbe takenwhencleaningthetractor,especiallyifa pressurisedwatercleanerisused.

• Neverstandtooclosetothetractorordirectthe waterjetonelectricalcomponents,sealsor intakeopenings,etc.

• Neverdirectjetsofcoldwateratthehotengine orexhaust.SeealsoSection3 (Recommendationsforbodyworkmaintenance).

Afterthefirst50hoursofuse,returntothedealerwith yourtractorandthisManualinordertocarryoutthe Manufactureríschecksandtofillinthecertificates includedonpages(1and3).Thefirstsheet(page1) mustbecompiledoncompletionoftheserviceand heldbythedealer.Thesecondsheet(page3)must bekeptintheManualfordocumentationand referencepurposes. Checkthatbothcopiesare signedbybothyourselfandthedealer.

SPAREPARTS

ìNon--originalîsparepartshavenotbeentestedor authorisedbytheManufacturer.Instalmentand/or useofsuchproductsmayadverselyaffectthe tractorísdesignspecifications,thereby compromisingoperationalsafety.Themanufacturer cannotbeheldresponsibleforanydamageresulting fromtheuseofìnon--originalîspareparts. Nomodificationsmaybemadetothetractorwithout writtenauthorisationfromtheManufacturer.

WARRANTY

Thetractorisguaranteedinaccordancewithcurrent legislationinyourcountryandinlinewithcontractual agreementsreachedwiththedealeratthetimeof sale.However,thewarrantyisnolongervalidifthe rulesandinstructionsfortheuseandmaintenance ofthetractor,describedinthisManual,arenot observe

IMPORTANTECOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Soil,airandwaterareessentialelementsfor agricultureandforlifeingeneral.Iflocallegislation doesnotcontrolthetreatmentofcertainsubstances, theproductionofwhichisnecessitatedbyadvanced technologies,productsderivedfromchemicaland petrochemicalproductsmustbeusedanddisposed ofaccordingtotherulesofcommonsense.

Thefollowingrecommendationsmaybeofhelp:

• Findoutwhattherelevantlegislationstipulates.

• Askyoursuppliersoflubricants,oils,fuels, anti--freeze,detergents,etc.,forinformationonthe effectsoftheseproductsonhumansandthe environmentandforinstructionsconcerningtheir use,storageanddisposal.Inmanycases,local agriculturalconsultantswillbeabletoprovide assistance.

SUGGESTIONS

1.Avoidusingunsuitable,pressurisedfilling systemsorfuelcanswhenfillingtanks,asthese maycauseconsiderablespillageandleakageof liquids.

2.Asageneralrule,donotallowliquidfuels, lubricants,acids,solvents,etc.,tocomeinto contactwiththeskin.Themajorityofthese productscontainsubstancesthatarepotential healthhazards.

3.Modernlubricantscontainadditives.Donotburn contaminatedfueloilsand/oroilsusedin conventionalheatingsystems.

4.Avoidspillagewhentransferringusedengine coolingliquids,engineandtransmission lubricants,hydraulicoils,brakefluids,etc.. Nevermixusedbrakeoilwithfueloil,orfueloil withlubricants.Storesafelyuntilsuitable disposalcanbearrangedaccordingtonational legislationorlocalregulations.

5.Modernanti--freezeliquidsandsolutions,e.g.: anti--freezeandotheradditives,mustbe replacedeverytwoyears.Theymustnotbeleft tobeabsorbedintotheground,butmustbe collectedanddisposedofinasuitablemanner.

6.Donotopentheairconditioningsystemstocarry outwork.Thesesystemscontaingaswhichmust notbereleasedintotheatmosphere.Contactyour dealerorspecialisedpersonnel,whoareequipped withtheappropriateequipmentandareauthorised tore--fillthesystem.

7.Anyleakageordefectintheenginecoolingor hydraulicsystemsmustberepairedimmediately.

8.Donotincreasethepressureinpressurised systems,asthismaycausecomponentpartsto burst.

9.Whenwelding,makesurethathosesare properlyprotectedassparksormoltenmaterial maypunctureorweakenthetubesandsleeves, resultinginleakageofoil,coolingliquid,etc..

10.Donotadjustthesettingofthefueldelivery systemasthiswillaltertheemissionofexhaust fumes.

NOTE: Theenginesinstalledonthetractorscomply withanti--pollutionlegislation.

GENERAL

Duringthemanufacturingofthistractor,everystep hasbeentakentoensuresafeoperation.However, thebestwaytoavoidaccidentsistoexercisecaution atalltimes.Oncetheaccidenthasalreadyhappened itistoolatetorememberwhatstepsshouldhave beentaken.

Itisadvisabletokeepafirstaidkitonhand.

Readthismanualcarefullybeforestarting,using, carryingoutmaintenance,refuellingorperforming anyothertypeofoperationonthetractor.

Thetractormustonlybeusedbyresponsiblepersonnel,trainedintractoruseandauthorisedtooperatethemachine.

Thetimespentreadingthismanualwillallowyoutoget toknowyourtractor,therebysavingtimeandeffort.. Thiswillalsohelppreventaccidentsfromtakingplace.

Donotaltertheinjectionsystemcalibrationinanattempttoincreasemaximumenginespeed.

Readallthesafetydecalsonthemachineandfollow theinstructionsthereonbeforestarting,operating, refuellingorcarryingoutmaintenanceonthemachine.Promptlyreplaceanydecalsthataredamaged,lostorillegible.

Cleanthedecalsiftheyarecoveredbymudordebris.

Rememberthatthetractorisexclusivelydesigned foragriculturaluse.Anyotherusewillrequireprior authorisationfromNEWHOLLAND.

Donotwearlooseclothingthatmaybetrappedinmovingparts.

Checkthatallrotatingpartsconnectedtothepower take--offarecorrectlyprotected.

SAFETYNORMS

Donotalterthecalibrationofthepressurerelief valvesinthevarioushydrauliccircuits(hydrostatic steering,hydrauliclift,auxiliarydistributors,etc.).

Avoidusingthetractorinunsuitablephysicalconditions,stopworkinstead.

Enterandleavethetractorusingthestepsand handlesprovided.Keepthesefittingsfreeofmud anddebris.

Alwaysoperatewiththerollbarcorrectlyandsecurelyfittedonthetractor:periodicallycheckthatthefittingsarenotlooseandthatallpartsofthestructure arefreefromanydamageanddeformation.Donot modifytherollbarbyweldingparts,drillingholes, etc.,asthiscouldadverselyaffecttherigidityofthe structure.

STARTINGTHETRACTOR

Beforestartingtheengine,checkthatthehandbrake isonandthatthegearsandpowertake--offaredisengaged,evenifthetractorisfittedwithastart--up safetydevice.Neverdisconnectthestart--upsafety switch.Iftheswitchdoesnotworkcorrectly,contact yourlocaldealerforeventualrepairoperations.

Beforestartingtheengine,makesurethatallattachedimplementsareloweredtotheground.

Beforestartingtheengine,checkthatallcoversand guardsarecorrectlyinposition(rollbar,engineside panels,powertake--offguard,frontaxletransmissionshaftcover,etc.).

Neverstartormaneuverthetractorunless seatedinthedrivingposition.

Beforemovingthetractor,alwayscheckthatthe areaisfreeofpeopleorobstacles.

Neverruntheengineinaclosedspacewithoutensuringadequateventilation.Exhaustfumesaredamaging tothehealthandcanbelethal.

Selectthemostsuitablewheelsettingfortheworkin hand,i.e.:thesettingthatprovidesthebeststability.

Whenthetractorismoving,theoperatormustremaincorrectlyseatedinthedrivingposition.

Nevergetonoroffthetractorwhileinmovement.

Whenusingthebrakes,pressthepedaldownslowly.

Avoidcurvingathighspeeds.

Engagetheclutchslowly:ifengagedtooquickly,especiallywhenthetractorisgettingoutofahole,ditch oroperatingonmuddygroundorsteepslopes,the tractormayoverturn.

Releasetheclutchimmediatelyifthefrontwheelsstart tolift.

Alwaysusethetractorataspeedthatwillguarantee safeoperationonthetypeoflandbeingworked. Whenworkingonunevenground,usemaximum caretoensureproperstability.

Ifyouhavetoworkwiththetractoronaincline,for exampleonhillsides,driveatmoderatespeedespeciallywhentakingcurves.

Whentravellingdownhill,keepthetractoringear. Neverreleasetheclutchandneverleavethegears inneutral.

Proceedwithmaximumcautionwhenworkingwith thewheelsneartheedgeofditchesorslopes.

Whendrivingonpublichighways,observetheHighwayCode.
