A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear CMS Alliance Members: I will conclude this year the same way I began — with gratitude. Thank you for the honor of serving you as president. Thank you for your flexibility as we learned new skills. Thank you for your support as we adjusted to new ways of meeting and serving our community. We faced many challenges this year. Yet, despite all of the obstacles, the CMS Alliance had an incredibly successful year. THANK YOU! Thank you for your support of the first annual Holiday Card Fundraiser. We raised over $6,200 in just four weeks! Your extraordinary generosity allowed us to serve frontline healthcare workers by underwriting the cost of creating a Respite Room at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare’s Northeast Emergency Room.
Additionally, we were able to donate $500 to FSU College of Medicine’s annual Holiday Toy and Clothing Drive for children of migrant farm workers in Gadsden County. The remaining proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for local medical and/or nursing students in 2022. Congratulations to the Executive Board Members for 2022: Codie Bryant (President), Heather Redfield (President-Elect), Michelle Reyes (V.P. Membership), Emily Farber (Treasurer), Leanne Dickhute (Treasurer-Elect), and Ashlee Borom (Secretary). Thank you for your enthusiasm and willingness to serve our community of medical spouses. We are looking forward to a wonderful year under your leadership! Finally, to my fellow board members and committee chairs, thank you for your dedication during an unpredictable time. This year would not have been possible without your wisdom, encouragement, and service. Thank you for a wonderful year.
