EVENING ROUNDS WITH CAPITAL MEDICAL SOCIETY: NETWORKING NIGHT WITH FSU COLLEGE OF MEDICINE STUDENTS
August 28, 2025 FSU College of Medicine Atrium and Auditorium
Capital Medical Society recently partnered with the FSU College of Medicine to host the inaugural Evening Rounds: A Career Spotlight Networking Event. Nearly 100 first- and second-year medical students joined two dozen CMS member physicians representing 15 specialties for an evening of conversation and connection. The event offered students valuable insight into a wide range of medical careers while fostering relationships between current and future physicians.
Shared one enthralled participant, “I’m sure I can speak for several other classmates, but homebased opportunities like this create a real sense of belonging and community investment that is such a huge part of being a physician. Even
as simple as a chance to practice professional conversations, especially for those who might be a little shy or less confident about networking, can make a difference in this journey. I’m sure those students valued being able to stand by and soak up those conversations around them too. Please do pass along our gratitude to all the physicians who volunteered their time. We know we come in with a lot of questions and a lot of eagerness. Plus, I’m sure it is exhausting at times following along with our active listening bobble-heads. Hopefully tonight filled their cups a bit, too!”
Thank you, CMS physicians! And thank you to our sponsor CAMPUS USA Credit Union!
