EXCHANGE VACATIONS Trading Places is designed to give you more opportunities to travel by creating a network of resorts from Capital Vacations’ direct booking partners and the world’s leading exchange travel provider, RCI. Use your timeshare ownership to book a 7-night vacation up to 12-months in advance across the entire network.
Trading Places Tiers Each resort in the Trading Places network is assigned a Tier value for each 7-night stay across the 52-weeks of a calendar year. Tier values are determined by several factors including the resort location, demand, and amenities. The assigned Tier may vary throughout the year to reflect seasonal demand. Each Tier includes a 7-night resort stay in a standard 1-bedroom accommodation (sleeps up to a minimum of 2 adults).

EXCHANGE MEMBERSHIP Membership Membership in Trading Places is provided through your Homeowners Association. Membership is provided on an annual basis with no additional membership fees. Membership is terminated in accordance with the terms and conditions and rules of Trading Places.
Participation in Trading Places Members must be current on all Home Resort financial obligations including loans, fees and dues to participate in the Trading Places. Named members on the contract may participate in Trading Places.
Accessing the Exchange To access the Trading Places, simply go to TradingPlaces.Destinality.com and use your provided login credentials to get started. We also have a dedicated exchange services team to assist in deposits and exchanges. Just call 844-517-8296 Monday to Friday 9AM—7PM EST and Saturday 10AM—5PM EST to speak with an exchange expert.

EXCHANGE TRAVEL Making a Travel Reservation Trading Places travel reservations may be made through the website or by calling Trading Places Services teams. The Trading Places Tier and applicable fees will be displayed online or provided by the agent during the booking process and then collected at the time of booking. Trading Places Tier selected to pay for exchange travel is consumed in its entirety. There are no refunds or credits given if the Tier value of the selected resort is less than the Tier value used to pay for the reservation. Conversely, if the Tier value of the selected resort is greater than the Tier value in the member’s wallet, they will be required to upgrade their Tier using Season Upgrade(s).
Search for Exchange Travel Effortlessly search the exchange network and real-time availability all over the world through your Trading Places website. Search by destination and travel dates or get inspired searching beach, mountain, or regional recommendations. Explore the resort network map to find your next dream vacation. Once you know your destination and travel dates, simply enter them in the search tool to see instant travel options. All resort availability is returned along with the unit sizes, Tier rate, and applicable fees.
Deposit your Ownership All current use-year timeshare ownership is eligible for deposit. Once you deposit your ownership, it is automatically removed from your HOA account. All deposits are final and please be advised they cannot be moved back to your HOA account once deposited. All individual Global Exchange Tiers expire after 5-years from the date of deposit and will be removed from the account after such time.

Deposit and Travel
5-year Exchange Deposit
Once you find your Trading Places vacation, simply deposit your timeshare ownership to receive the equivalent tier based on your HOA’s exchange valuation. All deposits may be made online or by calling Owner Services. With a Trading Places Tier in your wallet, you may then use it to pay for the week-long vacation during the booking process.
If you are unable to use your Timeshare Ownership for any reason, you may deposit them in Trading Places, which will convert the deposit into a Tier credit.
Exchange Confirmation Upon booking exchange travel, on-line or by phone, you will receive a confirmation email with all travel details of your reservation. It is recommended that you save the confirmation communication and bring it with you when you check-in at your resort.
Canceling a Reservation You may cancel your Trading Places reservation by calling Owner Services at 844-517-8296 Monday to Friday 9AM – 7PM and Saturday 10AM – 5PM EST. Refunds are determined by the number of days until the check-in date which is deemed the “cancellation window”. Refunded tiers will be deposited back to your Trading Places account. Exchange fees are non-refundable.

EXCHANGE TRAVEL Occupancy of Property Trading Places reservations must be booked by the member(s) named on the HOA member agreement, and the names of the individual(s) checking-in to the exchange resort must match.
Guest Travel Guest Travel certificates are available to assign the exchange usage to another person. If you’d like a friend or family member to be able to travel using your Trading Places deposit, you can do so by calling an exchange representative. There is a small fee of $49 for using a guest certificate.
Checking-In Be sure to bring your confirmation with you to the resort when you check in. If you cannot check in during the resort’s normal check in hours, you must contact them at least 24 hours in advance to make arrangements for access to the property. If you plan to arrive after your scheduled arrival date, you must contact the resort directly at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation and forfeiture of related Trading Places currency. Resorts have specific rules that must be complied with and can be furnished by the resort in advance. Resort terms are usually displayed when booking your exchange travel. Resorts are generally non-smoking and do not allow pets. Additional resort fees may be charged upon check in. They are usually displayed in the resort info on the Trading Places website but it is recommended that travelers contact the resort to confirm.

EXPLANATION OF FEES The following fees may be separately assessed and charged within Trading Places. All fees are subject to change at any time. Promotional rates may apply.
Agent Booking Fee All Trading Places travel reservations booked through Owner Services include an agent booking fee of $10.
Direct Booking Fees A fee is charged for every exchange travel reservation made through Trading Places. The fee amount is determined by the exchange type, resort booked, and method of booking (online, agent).
Guest Certificate Fee A Guest Certificate fee of $49 will be charged for every reservation made under a guest’s name when the owner will not be traveling on the reservation. The Guest Certificate fee may be charged at the time of booking or through Owner Services prior to the travel date.
Unit Size Upgrade Fee A fee is charged to book into a larger-sized accommodation than a one (1) bedroom. The fee amount is based on the unit size of the selected accommodation.
