HOW IT WORKS Our Trading Places platform is designed to give you more travel options by creating a network of inventory from the world’s leading exchange travel providers. We make it easy to deposit your week or points and save them for up to five years or exchange them for a Trading Places Tier for immediate use.
1 Search Destinations By using our members-only travel website, you can search 4,300+ destinations all over the globe, for any week of the year. Simply select your weekly travel dates and your desired destination, and instantly see matching results, with the best exchange rates presented first. If you prefer a more personal touch, our specialty trained agents are standing by and ready to help you search for the perfect destination, deposit your points, and book your travel all on the same call.
2 Deposit Your Points With our simple Tier system, it’s easy to select your favorite property and make the deposit that best fits your needs. Members can deposit as many points as they have available or choose the amount of points that best suits their selected exchange vacations. In exchange, the member will receive a Tier and Room size credit. Members have more options with the ability to rent or borrow future use-year points if they do not have sufficient Club points for the desired Tier.
3 Book Your Travel After you have selected your accommodations and deposited your Club points, all that’s left is to book your stay and prepare for your trip! Booking a reservation is as easy as any major travel sites. If your deposit Tier doesn’t match the Tier-level of your vacation choice, simply upgrade with a season or unit-size upgrade credit. Best of all, our Direct Booking Partners offer the lowest booking fees in the industry and the exchange fees for RCI resorts are even lower than direct RCI member fees!
NOT READY TO TRAVEL? If you are unable to use your Capital Club Points for any reason, you may deposit them into Trading Places, converting your Points to a Tier credit. The Tier credit may then be used anytime in the next 5 years.

EXCHANGE VACATIONS Trading Places is designed to give you more opportunities to travel by creating a network of resorts from Capital Vacations’ direct booking partners and the world’s leading exchange travel provider, RCI. Use your points to book a 7-night vacation up to 12-months in advance across the entire network.
Your Points and Tier Chart TRADING PLACES TIERS Each resort in the Trading Places network is assigned a Tier value for each 7-night stay across the 52-weeks of a calendar year. Tier values are determined by several factors including the resort location, demand, and amenities. The assigned Tier may vary throughout the year to reflect seasonal demand. Each Tier includes a 7-night resort stay in a standard 1-bedroom accommodation (sleeps up to a minimum of 2 adults).

TIER CHART As a Club Member, you may exchange your Capital Vacations Club Points for a Trading Places Tier. Club exchange rates are set by Capital Vacations® and allow you to book into a similar level of accommodation as your Club.
TIER UPGRADES Tier upgrades are available to elevate your Tier level after you deposit it in Trading Places. Tier upgrades are paid with Club Points and you may upgrade to the maximum Tier level 6. With Tier upgrades, you can travel to any property in the global network at any time by elevating the value of your initial deposit.

Borrowing Points If you do not have sufficient number of points in your current year’s allocation for your desired exchange vacation, you may borrow up to 100% of the next year’s points allotment by paying the full maintenance fee (annual billing) or by paying the first month of auto payment (monthly billing). Borrowed points will then be allocated in your Club account and available for use under your Club benefits, including use in Trading Places.

EXCHANGE MEMBERSHIP Membership Membership in Trading Places is provided to all Capital Vacations Club owners. Owners are automatically enrolled during the contract period and membership renews annually for no additional fee. Members’ Club loyalty level is matched in Trading Places. Membership is terminated in accordance with the terms and conditions and rules of Trading Places.
Participation in Exchange Members must be current on all Club financial obligations including loans, fees and dues to participate in Trading Places. Named members on the contract may participate in Trading Places. This does not include Club “authorized users”.
Accessing the Exchange Once you become a member in the Club, you will have access to Trading Places. Simply log in to CapitalVacationsClub.com using your Club credentials and click on the Trading Places link to get started. EXCHANGE TRAVEL Making a Travel Reservation Trading Places travel reservations may be made through the Capital Vacations Club online portal or by calling Owner Services. The Trading Places Tier and applicable fees will be displayed online or provided by the agent during the booking process and then collected at the time of booking. The Trading Places Tier selected to pay for exchange travel is consumed in its entirety. There are no refunds or credits given if the Tier value of the selected resort is less than the Tier value used to pay for the reservation. Conversely, if the resort is greater than the Tier value in your wallet, you will be required to upgrade your Tier using Season Upgrade(s).
Search for Exchange Travel Effortlessly search the exchange network and real-time availability all over the world through your Trading Places website. Search by destination and travel dates or get inspired searching beach, mountain, or regional recommendations. Explore the resort network map to find your next dream vacation. Once you know your destination and travel dates, simply enter them in the search tool to see instant travel options. All resort availability is returned along with the unit sizes, Tier rate, and applicable fees.
Deposit your Club Points Trading Places offers flexible deposit options to fit your needs. All current use-year Capital Vacations Club points are eligible for deposit including Club, Bonus, borrowed, and Aspire points. You may also rent additional Club points and use them within Trading Places. Once you deposit your Club points into Trading Places, they are automatically removed from your Club account. All deposits are final and cannot be moved back to your Club account once deposited. If you know the Trading Places Tier required for your vacation, simply deposit sufficient Club points to receive the equivalent Tier based on the Trading Places Tier chart. All deposits may be made online or by calling Owner Services. With a Trading Places Tier in your wallet, you may then use it to pay for the week-long vacation during the booking process.
If you are unable to use your Capital Club Points for any reason, you may deposit them in the Trading Places converting your Points to a Tier credit. The Tier credit may then be used anytime in the next 5 years.
Exchange Confirmation Upon booking exchange travel, on-line or by phone, you will receive a confirmation email with all travel details of your reservation. It is recommended that you save the confirmation communication and bring it with you when you check-in at your resort.
Canceling a Reservation You may cancel your Trading Places reservation by calling Owner Services at 844-777-2582 Monday to Friday 9AM—7PM EST and Saturday 10AM—5PM EST. Refunds are determined by the number of days until the check-in date which is deemed the “cancellation window”. Refunded Tiers will be deposited back to your Trading Places account. Exchange fees are non-refundable.

EXCHANGE TRAVEL Occupancy of Property Trading Places reservations must be booked by the member(s) named on the Club member agreement, and the names of the individual(s) checking-in to the exchange resort must match.
Guest Travel Guest Travel certificates are available to assign the exchange usage to another person. If you’d like a friend or family member to be able to travel using your Trading Places deposit, you can do so by calling an exchange representative. There is a small fee of $49 for using a guest certificate.
Checking-In Be sure to bring your confirmation with you to the resort when you check in. If you cannot check in during the resort’s normal check in hours, you must contact them at least 24 hours in advance to make arrangements for access to the property. If you plan to arrive after your scheduled arrival date, you must contact the resort directly at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation and forfeiture of related Trading Places currency. Resorts have specific rules that must be complied with and can be furnished by the resort in advance. Resort terms are usually displayed when booking your exchange travel. Resorts are generally non-smoking and do not allow pets. Additional resort fees may be charged upon check in. They are usually displayed in the resort info on the Trading Places website but it is recommended that travelers contact the resort to confirm. CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHILE TRAVELING If you experience any problems with your accommodations during your trip, we are available to help. If an issue cannot be resolved by the resort, contact an exchange representative at 844‑777‑2582 Monday to Friday 9AM – 7PM and Saturday 10AM – 5PM EST.

EXPLANATION OF FEES The following fees may be separately assessed and charged within Trading Places. All fees are subject to change at any time. Promotional rates may apply.
Direct Booking Fees A fee is charged for every exchange travel reservation made through Trading Places. The fee amount is determined by the exchange type, resort booked, method of booking (online, agent), and Club loyalty level.
Guest Certificate Fee A Guest Certificate fee of $49 will be charged for every reservation made under a guest’s name when the owner will not be traveling on the reservation. The Guest Certificate fee may be charged at the time of booking or through Owner Services prior to the travel date.
Unit Size Upgrade Fee A fee is charged to book into a larger-sized accommodation than a one (1) bedroom. The fee amount is based on the unit size of the selected accommodation.
