Spotlight on Agha Khan
Director of Information Technology
This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Agha Khan, who has been an integral part of the BWT team since February 2016. As the Director of Information Technology, he brings over 20 years of IT experience, driving innovation and implementing transformative solutions for the company.
"I am ambitious and driven. I thrive on challenges and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something more to strive toward. I'm not comfortable with settling, and I'm always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve more." This mindset defines his approach to leadership and problem-solving, making him a valuable asset to the team.
His strengths lie in creativity, leadership, and drive. Thriving on challenges, particularly those that push boundaries and expand BWT’s capabilities in the ever-evolving tech landscape, he has guided the IT department to play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growth and operations.

Life at Crossett is nonstop action. From spotters tirelessly moving trailers for the mill to clerks keeping drivers moving in and out seamlessly, every team member plays a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. It's a well-oiled machine fueled by hard work and teamwork.

Like many sites, Crossett has faced challenges, particularly in maintaining staffing levels. However, the team’s unwavering dedication shines through—when the going gets tough, everyone pitches in to keep things on track.

As Supervisor at our Tampa, FL location, Zackeya has been an integral part of the 2nd Shift team since joining BWT Logistics on March 20, 2023. Her dedication and impact are evident in every aspect of her work.
Managing the SAP inventory dashboard with precision, she ensures data is accurate and up-to-date, streamlining operations and helping the team consistently meet customer commitments. Her focus on safety has contributed to an impressive 12-month incident-free record, achieved by promoting PPE compliance and fostering a culture of safety.
A true team player, she has trained and mentored colleagues, ensuring smooth operations even in her absence. Her collaborative efforts have strengthened the team’s performance and reliability, while her expertise in computer systems has resolved challenges and improved efficiency. Always eager to grow, she is pursuing further education to enhance her skills and prepare for future opportunities within the company.

SAFETY FIRST SAFETY VIDEO
Safety in the workplace is about making thoughtful, informed choices every day. It means being proactive, following established guidelines, and maintaining a clean, organized environment to prevent risks. It’s about knowing your limits, handling tasks you’re trained for, and choosing the safest approach over shortcuts. When everyone takes accountability for their actions and looks out for one another, we create a culture where safety becomes second nature. Together, we can build an environment where everyone goes home safe.
In 2024, the company recorded a total of 77 accidents/incidents across all locations. Each incident serves as a reminder of the importance of prevention and staying committed to workplace safety. As we move into 2025, let’s prioritize safety protocols, remain vigilant, and take proactive measures to reduce these numbers. Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone.

We all have dreams and goals we want to achieve, but turning those into reality isn’t always easy. The Team Bucket List Challenge is a great teambuilding activity that helps bridge the gap between personal aspirations and actionable steps while fostering stronger relationships within the team.
Here’s how it works:
Create Bucket Lists: Have team members list personal goals they want to achieve.
Find Common Ground: Identify shared goals and form small groups.
Take Action: Groups work together to accomplish at least one list item, holding each other accountable.
