BIGGER, BOLDER, BETTER BWT’S STRATEGIC LEAP FORWARD
We’re excited to share that BWT Logistics has officially acquired RAZR Logistics, a Colorado-based logistics provider known for its on-demand warehousing, freight forwarding, and final-mile services. This is a major step forward in our growth journey—and it means big things for all of us.
RAZR serves over 500 customers across industries like retail, consumer goods, and manufacturing. Their services are a perfect match for what we already do best—like crossdocking, transloading, yard management, and transportation. Together, we’re building a stronger, more flexible logistics network that can serve more customers, more efficiently.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the RAZR team to BWT,” said CEO Danielle Roszko. “This partnership helps us grow smarter and faster, while continuing to deliver the reliable service our customers count on.”
This move also brings new leadership into the fold: Mike Griffin, President of RAZR, is joining BWT as Senior Vice President of Sales. He’ll play a key role in helping us expand our reach and strengthen our customer relationships.
This is our second major acquisition (after International Express Trucking in 2023), and it shows how serious we are about growing through smart, strategic partnerships. With support from our investment partners, we’re continuing to build a company that’s ready for the future of logistics. Let’s give a warm BWT welcome to the RAZR team! We’re excited to have them on board as we head into Q4 and gear up for a strong finish to the year.

SAFETY FIRST

Fire Prevention Month: Stopping a Spark Before It Starts
October is known for two big things: the start of peak season and Fire Prevention Month. As we ramp up volume, the risk of fire increases due to more equipment usage, a faster pace, and increased materials on the floor. At BWT, prevention is the best protection—and it's everyone's job!
This month, let’s focus on three critical fire prevention areas to keep our sites safe and our peak season running smoothly:
1.Clear the Path to Safety (Housekeeping is Key):
Aisles and Exits: Keep all emergency exits, electrical panels, fire extinguishers, and sprinkler heads completely clear and accessible. A blocked exit or piece of safety gear could cost seconds we don't have. Waste Management: Dispose of all waste, particularly oily rags or flammable packaging, in designated, tightly sealed containers. Good housekeeping prevents the fuel that fires need to ignite and spread.
2. Watch the Juice (Electrical & Charging Safety):
Designated Charging: Only charge our equipment (like forklifts and pallet jacks) in designated, well-ventilated areas. Never leave flammable liquids or packaging near battery charging stations.
Report Damage: If you notice frayed wires, smoking equipment, or unusual electrical odors, immediately tag the equipment "Out of Service" and report the issue to your supervisor.
3. Know Your Tools (Emergency Response): Extinguisher Location: Do you know the location and type of fire extinguisher nearest your work area? Familiarize yourself with the site’s fire evacuation plan and your primary and secondary routes to the outside designated meeting point.
By focusing on these preventative measures, we ensure that everyone makes it home safe every day.

WELLNESS & SELF-CARE
Pink Power! Focusing on Breast Cancer Awareness
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time to empower ourselves and our loved ones with knowledge and action. When breast cancer is found early, the chance of successful treatment is highest, which is why awareness and proactivity are essential parts of your self-care routine.
1. Know Your Health: Three Key Actions
Know Your Normal: Be familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel. Report any changes (new lumps, swelling, skin irritation, or nipple discharge) to your doctor right away. Know Your Risk: Talk to your healthcare provider about your personal and family history. Only about 15% of women diagnosed have a family history, but it is an important conversation to have. Know Your Screening Schedule: For women at average risk, major guidelines generally recommend talking to your doctor about starting mammograms as early as age 40, and continuing yearly screening from age 45. Your doctor will tailor this to your individual needs.
2. Reduce Risk Through Self-Care
While some risk factors (like age) cannot be changed, you can take control of your health with lifestyle choices:
Be Physically Active: Aim for 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week. Regular exercise is linked to a lower risk of breast cancer.
Maintain a Healthy Weight: Being overweight or obese, especially after menopause, increases risk. Focusing on diet and exercise is a powerful form of preventative self-care.
3. Attach These Informative PDFs
To provide your team with reliable resources, you can download and attach these publicly available fact sheets from leading national organizations:

October Focus: Safety, Speed, and the Q4 Surge
At BWT Logistics, October is when we shift into high gear, preparing for the busiest season of the year. The coming surge of orders requires every team member to operate with heightened Excellence and Accountability. Our challenge this month is simple: achieve peak performance while staying laser-focused on Safety.
We must not let speed compromise our standards. Our success in Q4 depends on our preparedness and our commitment to a SafetyFirst Culture.
3 Keys to Operational Excellence This Month
1. Maintain Our Engine: Equipment Readiness
The higher volumes of peak season expose the smallest vulnerabilities in our systems. Don't wait for a breakdown when every minute counts.
Action in Excellence: Prioritize preventive maintenance. Report any equipment, rack, or system issue immediately. Verify all forklifts, conveyors, and essential tools are inspected and serviced before the volume spike.
Safety Tip: Ensure aisles, pathways, and staging areas are clear of debris and clutter to prevent congestion and increase efficiency.
2.
Heighten Safety Awareness: Look Out for the Team
A busy floor means more people, faster pace, and increased risk. Whether you're a seasoned associate or a new seasonal hire, safety protocols are non-negotiable.
Action in Safety: Verify PPE. Conduct a quick audit of your required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure
and
Teamwork Tip: Take time to coach and mentor new or temporary team members on site-specific safety rules. A safety culture is built through mutual care.
3. Own the Outcome: Accountability in the Rush
Ambiguity leads to errors and delays. As the workload increases, our adherence to process and commitment to follow-through must become even stronger. Action in Accountability: Communicate clearly and proactively about potential bottlenecks, inventory discrepancies, or delays. If you commit to a deadline, hit it. If you can’t, communicate the variance immediately.
Excellence Tip: Break down large goals into small, manageable tasks. Focus on highquality work on one process step before moving to the next.
Your Challenge for October: The 3 P's of Peak
Focus on embodying the 3 P's this month: Preparedness, Protocol, and Performance. Let your actions demonstrate that at BWT Logistics, we handle peak pressure by being the safest, most reliable, and most prepared team in the industry.
"The difference between success and survival during peak season is not volume—it's discipline."

THE PEAK SEASON
PIT STOP: COLOR BREAK
Peak season is high-gear, but your mind deserves a brake. This October, trade your load manifest for a canvas, your scanner for a crayon, and your tension for some creative release. It’s time to de-stress, recharge, and make a minimasterpiece. (Don't forget to add a splash of pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!)
THE BREAKROOM BITE
Spooky Sweet & Perfectly Pink Popcorn Balls!
October is here, and with peak season on the horizon, we all need a little sweet treat and a moment to de-stress! This month's Breakroom Bite is a festive, fun, and (optionally) pinkthemed popcorn ball recipe that's perfect for sharing, bringing a smile, and subtly reminding us of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These aren't just for kids; they're a great energy boost to enjoy during a well-deserved break!
Ingredients:
8 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels)
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 bag (10 oz) miniature marshmallows
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: Pink food coloring (gel works best for vibrant color)
Optional: Halloween sprinkles (ghosts, bats, pumpkins) or pink/white sprinkles
Optional: Candy eyeballs (for extra spooky fun!)
Optional: Cooking spray or extra butter for hands
Instructions:
1.Pop the Corn: Pop your popcorn using your preferred method (air popper, stovetop, or microwave). Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels. Place the popped popcorn in a very large bowl and set aside.
2.Melt the Marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the marshmallows and salt, stirring constantly until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
3.Add Flavor & Color (Optional): Stir in the vanilla extract. If you're going for the "Perfectly Pink" theme for Breast Cancer Awareness, add a few drops of pink food coloring now and mix until uniformly colored.
4. Combine & Coat: Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn in the large bowl. Using a spatula or large spoon, gently fold and stir until all the popcorn is evenly coated.
5. Shape the Balls: Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray (this is key to prevent sticking!). Once the mixture is cool enough to handle but still warm, quickly form the popcorn into golf-ball to tennis-ball sized spheres.
6. Decorate (Optional): If using sprinkles or candy eyeballs, press them gently onto the popcorn balls while they are still warm and sticky.
7. Cool & Enjoy: Place the finished popcorn balls on parchment paper or wax paper to cool completely. Once firm, they're ready to enjoy! Store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
