Aluminum Siding "Torfure Kit"

A torture-test kit for demonstrating the resistance features of its plastic backed by aluminum siding has been introduced by U.S. Aluminum Corp.

The kit includes a sample of plastic siding backed with aluminum, a piece of sandpaper, a small bottle of muriatic acid and a red crayon, all enclosed in a plastic printed bag.

To demonstrate the resistance of the company's Super-Gard home siding, the salesman rubs the panel surface with sandpaper

Another test involves dispensing drops of the metal-eating muriatic aeid on the Super-Gard grain finish. The plastic coating remains unafrected, A third test is designed to prove that crayon and lipstick applied to the surface ean be wiped off with a damp cloth.

In the process of opening the door, the bottom part moves upwards along the vertical tubes. Simultaneously, the top of the door is carried backwards along the horizontal tubing.

When it is being opened or closed, the dool is always in equilibrium, regaldless of its position. This is achieved by securing a cable to the bottom corners of the door and suspending rveights enclosed in boxes from the cable. Providing extremely stable balance, the weight boxes are an additional safety measure to prevent the door from falling precipitously. The boxes can be placed either at the flont or the rear of the garage.

New Royoloote Cherry Pqnels

A new type of sharp, rich grain adds visual depth to two new cherry panels just announced by Masonite Corporation as additions to its popular Royalcote paneling group.

Both Mount Vernon Cheny, a more for- mal, darker tone, and New Honeytone Cherry, a warm medium-toned successor to Masonite's long-popular Honeytone, feature a new "in depth" graining process greatly adding to the three-dimensional fine cherry effect.

The new panels have color coordinated random matched grooves and long wearing surfaces. Like other Royalcote panels, they are dent resistant, easy to apply, and maintained by occasional damp wiping.

Both new cheny grains are introduced nationally in 4 ft. widths and in lengths of 7, 8, and 10 ft.
