Big Show Planned For February
Coming again in 1962-the Western States Hardware-Housewares-Paint & G4rden Supply Show, one of the largest and most complete shows ever produced in the West, will be held February Il-12-13 at Brooks Hall in San Francisco. The Show is sponsored by the California Retail Hardware Association.
Exhibits will open at Brooks Hall on to _ Sunday, February 11, from 12:00 noon noon to 6:00 p.m., and on Tuesday C, ' 3:00 to 10:30 p.m. Store employees will
, be invited to view exhibits on Tuesday evening to acquaint themselves with new products and merchandising aids ing for store-employees.
To assist retailers in making greater sales and rneeting the ever increasing demands of the industry, the nation's leading manufacturers will exhibit their newest lines soon to enter the market, together with merchandising aids and techniques in 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. During the show rnany exhibitors will offer money saving specials to buyers who attend, and exciting prizes will be given away daily climaxed by a grand prize 10-day trip for two to Hawaii.
Displays will cover a wide variety of products, including hardware, housewares, giftwares and sporting goods, paints and garden equipment. The lum-

Our San Diego reporter, Carl Gavotto, informs us 110 lumbermen and "Black Cats," along with their friends attended the big vaudeville and Christmas show on the evening of December l, 7961. The dinner was wonderful and Smith, prominent the show was full of pretty girls. A special feature of the show will be a 40 x 80' model store presented by Streater Store Eixtures- Attractively designed for utmost utility, the store will contain the latest fixtures and merchandisers and will be manned by experts in the field to counsel and advise store owners.
The beautiful l1ew Del Webb's TowneHouse, conveniently located one block from Brooks Hall in the Civic Center, will be the headquarters hotel.

Entertainment continued on through to the wee small hours of the morning and rvas enjoyed by everyone.
