Lumbermen {rom six western states were among the more than 250 who made this year's annual Rogue Valley Hoo-Hoo clutr 94 golt and fun fest day the best in its eight year run. Besides golf, swimming, tennis and goofing ofi were enjoyed.
Co-chairman Jim Lowman of WendlingNathan and Tom Alley had events at the Rogue Valley Country Club in Medford, Ore., so well coordinated that even with 180 golfers, the last foursome teed ofi only {our minutes behind schedule.
Auga Silveyra retained his golf crowrr by shooting a 4 under par 68 to win low gross. Low net went to C. Drake, who, in Jim Lowman's words, is either a mug' hunter or had everything going for him, by shooting a 9 under par 63.
Hole-in-one winner was Chet Warnock, six inches out. Gin rummy tourney toppers were Darrell Richardson, first flight and Jirn Quincy in second flight.
The tournament is always held on the first Friday of August, and, as in the past, this year's tourney $'as even larger than the year prior. From all reports t}is had to be one of the best Hoo-Hoo tourneys held anywhere, anytime.
