Lqtex Wood Stoin

A latex stain that penetrates into wood surfaces to insure maximum color retention has been introduced by National Gypsum Co. Gold Bond redwood stain is furnished in quarts and gallons. A gallon applied to rough or porous wood should cover 250 to 300 sq. ft. On unweathered wood, a gallon should cover 350 to 400 sq. ft.

Perforated Customite hardboard, in panels of 5' and, 4' widths, is being produced by Pope & Talbot, Inc.

Perforations are furnished in round or square holes, spaced 1" on centers. Hardboard of Ya" thickness is perforated with round holes of 3/16" diameter. Material of ocroBER, I 968

3,/16" thickness is perforated with round holes of either 3/16" ot 9/32" diameters, or with holes y4" square. Quarter-inch material is perforated with round holes of 9132" diameter or with %" square holes.

Perforated panels are available in lengths of 2' to 12'. Standard panel sizes are 5'x 6', 8' and 9'. and 4' x 6'. 8' and 9'.

Scqle Model Componenls

Snider Lumber Products Co. has contracted to supply the lumber for the manufacture of scale model homes, eabins, firehouses and barns to Structural Components Systems. Select incense cedar is used.

Components are interlocking, not requiring nails or screws. Components are scaled to Vz, Y+ and one inch. Some are used for demonstrating fire alarm systems and central vacuum cleaning systems.

Structural Component Systems says that their entire output is taken by Sifo, a subsidiary of Connor Forest Industries. The SCS factory is located in Modesto, Calif.
