Wife Ann and I arrived in Hilo, Hawaii, on the 16th of Sept. Drove over to Kailua, Kona where we are just unwinding from the rigors of Mainland living.

Will depart this beautiful island of Hawaii in a few daYs to finish our visit in Honolulu.

Construction seems to be booming, up approx: 34Vo. However, the real business seems to be in colorful ladies' gowns and exotic rum drinks. Have contributed to both enterPrises.

THE BAT IINE Dear Dave, Your correspondence finallY caught up with me here in Park Rapids, Minnesota.

This general area was formerly the "Paul BunYan" countrY years ago.

We expect to be back in God's country (southert Calif.) about Thanksgiving time.

In the meantime, next Sat., Sept. 21, we will be at the University of Minnesola stadium, cheering the USC Trojans on to victory.
