Disciplinary Matters and Sanctions

We trust students to behave in a mature, considerate, respectful and empathetic manner and to contribute positively to the House community. We aim to enable the students to make sensible choices which will be in their best interests and those of the whole boarding house. We are proud of the very good behaviour in the boarding houses. Occasionally, a student may make a poor choice which will have consequences in line with our behaviour and discipline policy. If a student does make a poor choice, we try to make sure that this is a learning opportunity for them. We expect the students to be honest and cooperative and act with integrity and for parents and guardians to support the school’s stance on discipline.

House procedures are based on the needs of all members of the House to enable a balance of work and leisure in a homely, friendly and safe environment. School rules on smoking and drinking apply at all times. It should be noted that matters such as theft, bullying, dishonesty, racial prejudice etc. will be treated with the utmost severity, in line with school policy.

Breaches of good behaviour may result in the loss of certain privileges. Please make reference to the Behaviour and Discipline in School Policy by clicking here.
