Editorial Liebe Freunde des Brixen Dolomiten Marathons, Groß waren die Erwartungen an das OK-Team für die Organisation der 10. Auflage des Brixen Dolomiten Marathons, denn man wollte den Athleten etwas Besonderes bieten. Durch die Erweiterung des Laufangebotes mit dem Dolomites Ultra Trail (84 km mit Start und Ziel am Domplatz in Brixen), die Einbindung einer Gemeinde im Herzen der Dolomiten, St. Martin in Thurn im Gadertal, mit dem LadiniaTrail von St. Martin bis auf den Gipfel der Plose und dem klassischen Marathon von Brixen auf die Plose hatte man anlässlich des Jubiläums ein vielfältiges Programm auf die Beine gestellt. Am Freitagabend belebten die Rollstuhlfahrer beim Rolli Run, zahlreiche Kinder beim Children’s Run und 795 Frauen beim Women’s Run die Altstadt. Der Domplatz war dann um 00.01 Uhr eine würdige Kulisse für den Start des Dolomites Ultra Trails, zu dem 37 Teams ins Rennen geschickt wurden.

Die Teilnahme von mehr als 2.000 Athletinnen und Athleten aus 34 Ländern an den verschiedenen Läufen haben die Jubiläumsveranstaltung zu einem würdigen Höhepunkt der 10-jährigen Brixner Marathongeschichte gemacht und die Veranstaltung in eine neue Dimension lanciert.

Die verschiedenen Läufe waren für das OK-Team und seine nahezu 500 freiwilligen Helfer eine große Herausforderung, die mit Bravour gemeistert wurde. Dafür gebührt Allen ein aufrichtiger Dank verbunden mit der Hoffnung auf eine weiterhin unentbehrliche Mitarbeit auch für die zukünftigen Veranstaltungen. Der Dank ergeht auch an alle Sponsoren, Gönner und an die öffentlichen Einrichtungen für die großzügige Unterstützung der Veranstaltung, unser besonderer Dank geht an alle Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer, die mit ihrem Einsatz und ihrer Begeisterung der Jubiläumsveranstaltung die besondere Note geben konnten. Die Organisation des 11. Brixen Dolomiten Marathon hat bereits begonnen. Die Einladung für den nächsten Marathon ergeht an Euch alle, und nicht vergessen: wir sehen uns am 4. Juli 2020 in Brixen wieder. Danke und bis bald!

Cari amici della Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, Grandi erano le aspettative per il CO per l´organizzazione della 10. edizione della Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, ci si era prefissati di offrire agli atleti un programma particolare. Ampliando l´offerta podistica con nuove gare, aggiungendo la Dolomites Ultra Trail di 84 km, con partenza e arrivo a Bressanone in Piazza Duomo, con il coinvolgimento di un Comune nel Cuore delle Dolomiti, San Martino in Badia, con il LadiniaTrail, che portava gli atleti da San Martino sulla vetta della Plose, nonché la classica Maratona da Bressanone in cima alla Plose, si è cercato di creare ed allestire un programma varieggiato. In aggiunta non vanno dimenticati il Rolli Run e il Children’s Run di venerdì sera. Alla Women’s Run hanno partecipato ben 795 donne, che hanno dato vita per il centro storico. La Piazza Duomo ha fatto da onorevole cornice per la Dolomites Ultra Trail con partenza alle ore 00.01 di sabato mattina, alla quale hanno partecipato 37 coppie di corridori.

Dear friends of the Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, for the team of the OC regarding the organization of the 10th edition of the Brixen Dolomiten Marathon were high, and they wanted to offer something special to the athletes. By the extension of the running offer with the Dolomites Ultra Trail, 84 km with start and finish at the dome square in Brixen, the integration of a community in the heart of the Dolomites, St. Martin in Thurn im Gadertal, with the LadiniaTrail from St. Martin up to the summit of the Plose and the classic marathon from Brixen to the Plose, a varied program had been put together for the jubilee event. The various runs were a great challenge for the OK-Team and its almost 500 volunteers, which was mastered with bravura.

Diese Arbeit ist das Herz, dieser Idealismus ist nicht zu ersetzen und wird von allen Beteiligten hochgeschätzt. Die Jubiläumsausgabe mit einem Ultra Trail zu erweitern war eine mutige Entscheidung. Der Erfolg, die attraktive Streckenführung und die Herangehensweise, die Sicherheit der Läufer in den Vordergrund zu stellen, gibt euch recht und macht Lust auf mehr. Saluti Il successo internazionale del 10° anniversario ha confermato ciò su cui gli organizzatori hanno puntato fin dall‘inizio della Brixen Dolomiten Marathon: Qualità in tutti i settori e una costante e continua crescita del numero di partecipanti. Una corsa in montagna di queste dimensioni è soprattutto un capolavoro logistico. La Brixen Dolomiten Marathon è organizzata da un comitato organizzativo volontario ed è sostenuta da centinaia di volontari.

Questo lavoro è il cuore, questo idealismo è unico ed è molto apprezzato da tutti gli interessati. Estendere l‘edizione dell‘anniversario con un Ultra Trail è stata una decisione coraggiosa. Il percorso attraente e l‘approccio per mettere la sicurezza dei corridori in primo piano è una scelta pieno di successo. Tanto più Bressanone attende la prossima edizione di questo weekend di corsa unico nel suo genere con Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, Dolomites Ultra Trail, LadiniaTrail e Women’s Run!

Dolomites Ultra Trail Liebe Lauffreunde, beim 10-jährigen Jubiläum des Brixen Dolomiten Marathons wollten wir etwas Neues präsentieren und haben unser Laufangebot um zwei Strecken erweitert – der LadiniaTrail und der Dolomites Ultra Trail feierten Premiere. Unser Ziel war und ist es, den Läuferinnen und Läufern die wunderbare Bergwelt der Dolomiten „zum Anfassen“ zu präsentieren und technische Trails gepaart mit herrlichen Ausblicken anzubieten. Der LadiniaTrail ist ein Lauf zum Genießen, aber mit seinen 29 km Länge doch recht anspruchsvoll. Der Dolomites Ultra Trail (DUT) stellt mit seinen 84 km eine große Herausforderung dar und ist in seiner Streckenführung einzigartig mit Start und Ziel am Domplatz in Brixen. Der DUT ist etwas Besonderes, er darf nur im Zweierteam gelaufen werden: zum einen ist die Sicherheit dadurch erhöht, zum anderen sind gemeinsam erlebte Emotionen doppelt so einprägend. Die Teilnehmerzahl wird auch in Zukunft beschränkt bleiben.

Ein herzlicher Dank geht an alle Helferinnen und Helfer, an die Sponsoren und an die Athletinnen und Athleten. Letztere haben erneut ihren Respekt für die Natur gezeigt, indem entlang der Strecken kein Müll entsorgt wurde! Ich freue mich auf ein Wiedersehen 2020. Cari corridori, in occasione del decimo anniversario della Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, abbiamo voluto ampliare la nostra offerta, presentandovi qualcosa di nuovo: ben due nuovi percorsi – il LadiniaTrail e il Dolomites Ultra Trail. Il nostro obiettivo era ed è quello di proporre ai corridori il meraviglioso scenario alpino delle Dolomiti “da toccare” e di offrire percorsi tecnici abbinati a splendidi panorami. Il LadiniaTrail è una corsa da godere, ma con i suoi 29 km di lunghezza è piuttosto impegnativo. Il Dolomites Ultra Trail (DUT) con i suoi 84 km è una grande sfida ed è unico nel suo percorso con partenza e arrivo in Piazza Duomo a Bressanone. Il DUT è qualcosa di speciale, deve essere gestito in coppia: da un lato vi è maggiore garanzia di sicurezza, dall’altro le emozioni condivise sono doppiamente memorabili. Il numero di partecipanti rimarrà limitato anche in futuro.

Dear runners, On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, we wanted to expand our running range, presenting something innovative: two new routes - the LadiniaTrail and the Dolomites Ultra Trail. Our goal was and is to present to the runners the wonderful mountain world of the Dolomites and to offer technical trails combined with beautiful views. The LadiniaTrail is a run to be enjoyed, but with its 29 km length, it is quite demanding. The Dolomites Ultra Trail (DUT) with its 84 km is a great challenge and is unique in its route with start and finish at the Dome Square in Brixen. The DUT is something special; it must be managed in a team of two athletes: on the one hand, there is a greater guarantee of security, on the other hand, shared emotions are twice as memorable. The number of participants will remain limited also in the future.

Many thanks to all volunteers, sponsors and athletes. The latter have once again demonstrated their respect for nature by not disposing of waste along the routes! I look forward to seeing you again in 2020. In the meantime, I wish you all nice training runs without injuries!

Wir freuen uns, dass das wunderbare und einzigartige Gadertal mit St. Martin in Thurn, Untermoi und Campill so vielen Läuferinnen und Läufern als Kulisse für dieses sportliche Ereignis dienen konnte. Ganz besonders möchte ich mich hiermit auch bei den vielen freiwilligen Helferinnen und Helfern sowie bei den verschiedenen Vereinen und Institutionen für ihre tatkräftige Unterstützung bedanken. Wir freuen uns bereits jetzt schon auf die 3 Bergläufe im kommenden Jahr!

IN MEMORIAM

Pietro De Zolt

Am 28. Juli 2018 ist der Präsident der CAI Sektion Brixen überraschend verstorben. Pietro De Zolt war von Beginn an ein starker Unterstützer und Befürworter des Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, ist ja die Plose-Cai-Hütte der Zieleinlauf dieser Veranstaltung. Mit großem Einsatz, viel Einfühlungsvermögen und seinem speziellen und einzigartigen Humor war Pietro mit seinem Team für die Verpflegung der Athleten im Zielbereich verantwortlich. Heuer wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der CAI Sektion Brixen ein Gedenkmarsch in Memoriam von Pietro De Zolt von Kreuztal auf die Plose ausgetragen. Den 48 Teilnehmern wurde im Ziel ein kleines Geschenk überreicht. An vorderster Front mit dabei waren seine Frau Anna Maria, seine Tochter Claudia und als jüngste Teilnehmerin seine Enkelin Lara.

Il 28 luglio 2018, il presidente della sezione CAI di Bressanone ci ha lasciati inaspettatamente. Pietro De Zolt è stato un forte sostenitore della Brixen Dolomiten Marathon fin dall’inizio, in quanto il rifugio Plose-CAI è il traguardo di questo evento. Con grande passione, molta empatia e il suo incomparabile umore, Pietro e il suo team si sono occupati del ristoro degli atleti al traguardo. Quest’anno, in collaborazione con la sezione CAI di Bressanone, si è tenuta una marcia in memoriam di Pietro De Zolt da Valcroce alla Plose. Ben 48 partecipanti hanno ricevuto un piccolo regalo all’arrivo. Tra i marciatori in prima linea la moglie Anna Maria, la figlia Claudia e come partecipante più giovane la nipotina Lara.

On the 28th July 2018, the president of the CAI section Brixen died unexpectedly. From the beginning, Pietro De Zolt was a great supporter of the Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, noticing that the finish of the Brixen Dolomiten Marathon is at the CAI-Plosehütte. With great commitment, empathy and his special and unique sense of humor, Pietro and his team were responsible for the catering of the athletes in the finish area. This year was held a memorial march from Kreuztal to the Plose, in cooperation with the CAI section Brixen. The 48 participants received a small gift at the finish. Among the walkers were his wife Anna Maria, his daughter Claudia and as youngest participant his granddaughter Lara.
