CVMSDC Pillars
Our 4 PILLARS
Through the work of CVMSDC.org, Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Corporate Partners are brought together for the mutual benefit of advancing and innovating Supplier Development ideals in the marketplace, elevating minority business participation levels, and transforming the economic landscape from the status quo to foster economic development and wealth creation within the CVMSDC network.
For every $1 invested with CVMSDC suppliers, we realize a $1.72 impact on the economy. This GDP impact and trickle-down effect comes from Jobs, Goods & Services, Incomes, Infrastructure, and Taxes.
We accomplish this work through four pillars of work: Advocacy, Development, Connection and Certification.

1
ADVOCACY
With over 13,000 MBEs & Corporate Members nationwide, we support business growth nationally and regionally.
CONNECTION
We create ongoing connection opportunities for MBEs & corporations.
2
DEVELOPMENT
We offer comprehensive training programs to enhance business owner knowledge.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT & CEO

Welcome to AMP24,
This year the 2024 CVMSDC business theme is “Inclusivity,” and the theme of AMP24 is Inclusive Innovation. AMP24 combines our Annual Meeting, which reflects on the previous year, highlights our accomplishments, and updates the network regarding future plans – combined with ProForum, which is our annual Corporate Only session to share best practices and increase supplier development opportunities at every level.

After reading the book “One Word That Will Change Your Life,” our team is placing emphasis on one personal word and one collective business word for the year. In the coming months, all of our work efforts will holistically focus on inclusivity. We encourage you to think about one word that will sum up your intentions for 2024 and share it with us on our Facebook page. At the same time, we look forward to your intentional inclusive actions as you engage with each other, bring forth opportunities, and grow our work.
Thank you to Atrium Health for being our Title Sponsor and for elevating your intentionality with CVMSDC.org. Each of our Corporate Partners makes an impact with every dollar invested in CVMSDC.org. For every $1 that we all spend with MBEs, we return a $1.74 impact back to the economy – meaning we all can make an economic impact.
As always, thank you to all of our Volunteer Board Members, our Corporate and MBE sponsors, our volunteers, and the to the entire CVMSDC team including our extended contract team. Together we have a stronger reach.
It is my hope that you walk away from AMP24 with new ideas on growing your impact; through measurement, innovation, opportunity, and most importantly an INCLUSIVE Mindset.
A special thanks to our outgoing Board Members and WELCOME to our incoming board members. Thank you all for taking the time to attend this event and for making a difference with each contract opportunity.
In appreciation and partnership,

MESSAGE FROM THE OUTGOING BOARD CHAIR

WOW, where did the time go? As my term as Board Chair for CVMSDC comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for the incredible journey we have embarked on together over the past two years. It has been an honor and privilege to serve alongside such dedicated and talented individuals.
I want to take a moment to express my deepest thanks to each and every one of you. Your unwavering support, commitment, and collaborative spirit have been the driving force behind the successes we've achieved during my tenure. Together, we navigated challenges, celebrated triumphs, and worked towards advancing the mission and goals of CVMSDC.
The accomplishments we've realized as a team are a testament to the collective effort and passion that each of you brings to the table. Whether it was shaping strategic initiatives, fostering partnerships, or overcoming obstacles (many), your dedication has made a lasting impact on our organization.
I am proud of what we've accomplished together, and I have no doubt that CVMSDC is well-positioned for continued success in the future. It is with a sense of fulfillment and optimism that I pass the gavel to my successor, Jonathan Wilkins, knowing that the organization is in capable hands.
Thank you for your trust, collaboration, and the countless hours you've dedicated to advancing the mission of CVMSDC. It has been a privilege to serve as your Board Chair, and I look forward to witnessing the continued growth and prosperity of our organization under new leadership.
