commercial operations report The Bowls Australia Commercial Operations team has enjoyed an exciting year on and off the green with significant new initiatives introduced across a number of key priority areas.
Partnerships Bowls Australia experiences strong commercial support from a number of partners whose valued support provides a platform for us to further invest back into the sport of bowls. In 2013, Bowls Australia renewed partnerships with MakMax, the leader in shade structures, and had continued positive relationships with Aspect Sportswear (formally Kombat Teamwear) who provided the Australian Jackaroos with their team wear requirements and also supported Bowls Australia with a range of other uniform product. Many thanks also to Asics, who continue to invest in innovation for bowls footwear. A renewed partnership was established with BCiB, led by Ian Hopper, who have been steadfast in their support of bowls for many years and BCiB have been a strong addition to the Bowls Australia commercial partnerships. BCiB have an ongoing commitment to their investment in the bowls community at all levels showcased by their strong service culture and genuine passion for the sustainability of our sport. A new partnership was also established with Aero Bowls, one of the world’s fastest growing bowls manufacturers, as Bowls Australia’s preferred bowls supplier. In a very short space of time, Aero Bowls have become a leading brand of bowls, bowling equipment and apparel in Australia and Bowls Australia is thrilled to work with Walter Jacobs and the Aero Bowls team moving forward. Bowls Australia has once again enjoyed a wonderful year in 2013/14 with our media and broadcast partner in Fox Sports and also our production company McGuire Media who once again produced quality vision of our broadcast events specifically the inaugural live coverage of the Australian Premier League.
