Legend has it that one day two leviathans set out from this place to capture the goddess Tanit. However, when they laid eyes on her they were so overwhelmed by her beauty that they were turned to stone on the spot, condemned to look upon her for all eternity. These giants are the islands Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell. The rapture first felt by these beings is the same enchantment that impels visitors to return time and time again. It is the feeling you will experience as you watch the sun, the most sacred of fiery stars, gently dip into the sea. Once this wonderful secret has been revealed, you will carry that sky in your heart for ever, and an eternal love for “Sa Pedrera”.
La leyenda de este sitio cuenta que un día dos leviatanes salieron en busca de la diosa Tanit para raptarla. Pero al ver su tremenda belleza quedaron, a tal punto, deslumbrados, que se convirtieron en piedra frente a su costa para observarla eternamente. Estos gigantes son los islotes llamados Es Vedrà y Es Vedranell. El amor que movió a estos seres es el mismo que provoca a los viajeros a ir una y otra vez. Un sentimiento que experimentaréis vosotros mismos cuando veáis al sol, la más santa estrella de fuego enfriándose sobre el mar. Luego de desvelar este secreto, lo cual se parece a un dulce accidente, os aseguro que habréis guardado para siempre en vuestro corazón un cielo nominalizado en un amor eterno: “Sa Pedrera”.
