Kayla Fischer and Kelsey Richter have joined the audit and compliance department at Starion Financial. Fischer is a compliance auditor and Richter is an internal auditor. Both are located at the bank’s Mandan branch. As a compliance auditor, Fischer is responsible for performing compliance functions in the bank. She ensures bank lending compliance with applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures, ensuring effective internal controls, accounting and

reporting. Fischer’s previous experience includes three years as a mortgage quality control auditor. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Metropolitan State University – St. Paul, MN. In her role as internal auditor, Richter conducts internal audits to ensure that assets are properly safeguarded and liabilities properly recorded. She assists with completion of annual risk assessments and coordinates various external audits and examinations. Richter has more than five years of banking experience. She was previously a loan operations assistant at Starion. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Mary – Bismarck.

Sanford Health Nurse Receives Board Certification

Sanford Health’s Jeffrey Louritt, registered nurse, has successfully been certified as an emergency nurse by the Board Jeffery Louritt of Certification for Emergency Nursing. Louritt has been with Sanford Health since 2012.

Local American Waind Receives Certification Family Insurance Haley Waind, a registered Agents Earn Award nurse in St. Alexius’ Intensive

Dee Heintz, Tim Herman, and Marv Splonskowski, American Family Insurance agents in Bismarck, and Dee Heintz Terry Kraft, American Family Insurance agent in Mandan, have been recognized for providing outstanding customer experience under the American Star Excellence in Customer Experience Certification. They join other American Family agents who have Tim Herman demonstrated the highest level of commitment to outstanding customer service. “There are many choices out there in the insurance marketplace,” said Dan Schultz, American Family Insurance’s president and chief operating officer. “The American Star Terry Kraft Excellence in Customer Experience Certification lets consumers know these are agents with an established track record of excellent customer service.” The service excellence distinction was determined through an evaluation process conducted under guidelines established through the American Star Excellence in Customer Experience certification. The process consists of a customer satisfaction survey which measures customers’ overall experience with their current American Family agent. Only agencies that perform in the top 20 percent of all insurance agencies nationwide, based on customer satisfaction surveys, are eligible to become American Star Excellence in Customer Experience certified.

Care Unit (ICU), recently earned her critical care registered nurse (CCRN) certification through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Haley Waind Candidates are given three hours to complete 150 multiplechoice questions and must meet all of the necessary eligibility requirements before taking this exam. This includes having an up-to-date registered nurses license that is valid in the United States and free of any impediment. The CCRN certification provides additional validation of advanced clinical knowledge and demonstrates commitment to patients, families and colleagues. In 2010, Waind earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of North Dakota. She began her employment with St. Alexius Medical Center in 2011.

Bismarck Aero Center Promotes Peterson

Bismarck Aero Center (BAC) has promoted Erik Peterson to Lead Maintenance Technician. Peterson joined Bismarck Erik Peterson Aero Center as an aircraft A&P Maintenance Technician in 2011. Before BAC, he worked as the Safety Supervisor at General Electric and was a maintenance technician at Goodrich Aviation Technical Services. Peterson graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor degree in Aviation Systems Management. He also received his A&P certification from Westwood College of Aviation Technology in Broomfield, CO and has obtained an Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate.
