RESULTADOS RELEVANTES EN 35 AÑOS DE LABOR

El Centro de Inmuno Ensayo, (CIE), certificado como Empresa de Alta Tecnología, arriba al aniversario 35 de su fundación con resultados relevantes en la detección de múltiples padecimientos. Su tecnología SUMA reporta un impacto incalculable en la determinación temprana de graves enfermedades; está presente en 2 094 servicios nacionales y 378 laboratorios foráneos; con su auxilio se han realizado más de 157,6 millones de pruebas, de estas, una cifra superior a 11,8 millones para la prevención de la transmisión de infecciones de la madre al feto. Treinta y tres proyectos para el desarrollo de la biología molecular con nueve diagnosticadores, también son producto de la labor del CIE, reconocido a nivel internacional, orgullo de la industria biofarmacéutica cubana. Centro de Inmuno Ensayo (CIE), certified as a High Technology Company, reaches the 35th anniversary of its foundation with relevant results in the detection of multiple diseases. Its technology SUMA has had an incalculable impact on the early detection of serious diseases; it is present in 2,094 national services and 378 foreign laboratories; with its help, more than 157.6 million tests have been carried out, including more than 11.8 million for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of infections. Thirty-three projects for the development of molecular biology with nine diagnostic tests are also the result of CIE´s work, world-wide recognized and pride of the Cuban biopharmaceutical industry.

ALIANZA ENTRE EL CENTRO DE NEUROCIENCIAS Y CENESEX BENEFICIARÁ A NIÑOS VÍCTIMAS DE ABUSO SEXUAL

El Centro de Neurociencias de Cuba y el Centro Nacional de Educación Sexual (CENESEX), acometerán un nuevo proyecto de investigación científica, en virtud de un convenio de colaboración que permitirá llevar adelante el estudio «Eficacia de la terapia cognitiva conductual en víctimas de abuso sexual infantil: bases biológicas». Este importante proyecto favorecerá el intercambio de saberes, criterios, experticias e ideas novedosas entre estas instituciones y otras del universo médico científico nacional, en beneficio de este segmento poblacional afectado. Cuba´s Centro de Neurociencias (Neurosciences Center) and Centro Nacional de Educación Sexual, CENESEX, (National Center for Sex Education) will undertake a new scientific research project under a collaboration agreement to enable the study “Efficacy of cognitive behavior therapy in victims of child sexual abuse: biological bases”. This important project will favor the exchange of experiences, opinions, skills and innovative ideas between these institutions and others in the national medical-scientific field for the benefit of this damaged segment of population.

MÉXICO ADQUIERE NUEVE MILLONES DE DOSIS DE LA ABDALA CUBANA PARA SUS NIÑOS

El Gobierno mexicano anunció recientemente que comprará a Cuba nueve millones de dosis de Abdala, primera vacuna latinoamericana anti-SARS-CoV-2, para inmunizar a tres millones de niños, entre 5 y 11 años de edad, en esa gran nación. Se convierte así el país azteca en uno de los primeros del mundo en autorizar el uso de emergencia de Abdala, que aún no cuenta con el aval de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). The Mexican Government announced that it will purchase from Cuba nine million doses of Abdala, the first Latin American vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, to immunize three million children between 5 and 11 years of age in Mexico. This makes Mexico one of the first country in the world to authorize the emergency use of Abdala, which has not yet been endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
