Astronautes, CLPR o Jesus Was Black entre otros, en ciudades como Londres, Hamburgo, Méjico o Barcelona.

Bcn events: ¿Cómo empezaste tu carrera en la industria musical? Empece en el mundo de la música desde muy joven, con 14 años ya pinchaba discos en verano en el chiringuito de mi pueblo Sitges y esa inquietud me llevo rápidamente a producir mi propia música, ya con 17 años edite mi primera canción con la multinacional Warner que ademas fue la banda sonora del anuncio de TV de Carlsberg en aquel año, así que se puede decir que antes de la mayoría de edad ya estaba metido al 100% en esta industria.

Bcn events: ¿Cuáles son tus influencias musicales? En mi casa siempre se escucho mucha música y muy variada, desde el soul de Aretha Franklin pasando por Brian Auger & The Trinity, George Shearing, Roger Webb hasta llegar a los Rolling Stones, vengo de una familia de artistas muy variopintos. Bcn events: ¿Prefieres pinchar en clubes o en festivales? Particularmente me gusta y disfruto mucho mas pinchando en lugares mas íntimos como son

los clubs, siempre lo he dicho y siempre lo diré es mas difícil hacer bailar a 50 o 200 personas que a 5.000 o 30.000 que ya se mueven por la propia inercia entre ellos, me gustan los retos. Bcn events: ¿Dónde estás más cómodo, en la cabina o en el estudio? La verdad que en los 2 sitios por igual, en ambos disfruto mucho, tanto por ver la reacción de la gente y la energía que te transmiten en el directo, como a la hora de crearla y jugar con los beats. Bcn events: ¿De todas tus actuaciones, de cual guardas mejor recuerdo?

Sin lugar a dudas donde mejor me lo he pasado a sido en Sixx (Atenas) por la gran cultura de club que existe en el país heleno y como no en mi debut en Space Ibiza en el año 1999. Bcn events: ¿Vinilo o digital? Yo soy de la vieja escuela, empece y aprendí a mezclar música en vinilo y mi sello discográfico todavía plancha música en formato vinilo, así que la respuesta es fácil, vinilo. Bcn events: ¿Cuáles crees que son los secretos para mantenerse en este negocio? Como en todo negocio el secreto es la constancia, no hay otro… siempre pasas por etapas

mejores y otras no tan buenas pero al final si sigues ahí y luchas por lo que realmente quieres, te gusta y te hace feliz, el éxito esta asegurado. Bcn events: ¿Qué te gusta más producir original mixes o remixes? Donde mas disfruto es haciendo remixes, ya que siempre busco darle una vuelta de tuerca a la canción original y llevarla mas a mi terreno musical, donde me siento mas cómodo, así que diría Remixes. Bcn events: ¿De todos los artistas que has remezclado, con cual te quedas, cual es tu remix favorito?

Bcn events: How did you start your career in the music industry? I started in music from a very young age, with 14 years I was already playing records during the summer in the beach of my town Sitges and that inquietude quickly took to me to start producimg my own music. With 17 years I publish my first song with the multinational Warner which was also the soundtrack of the Carlsberg´s TV ad in that year, so its fair to say that before the age of majority I was already 100% involved in this industry. Bcn events: What´s your musical influences? In my house we always have heard to a lot of music and varied. From the soul of Aretha Franklin through Brian Auger & The Trinity, George Shearing, Roger Webb to the Rolling Stones, I come from a family of artists with a very diverse taste. As in every business the secret is constancy, there is no other ... you always go through better stages and others not so good but in the end if you continue and stand there

Where I enjoy the most is doing remixes, since I always try to give it a twist to the original song in aims to take it to my musical field where I feel more comfortable, so I would say remixes. Bcn events: Of all the artists you have remixed, with which one you stay, what is your favorite remix? I would stay with the “Hope” by Guti remix, but also with “No fear” by John Acquaviva & Lutzenkirchen. Bcn events: Where do you think music is evolving today? Music today evolves much faster than before, because luckily or unfortunately through the digital world every day come out many new songs, remixes, mashups and styles just come and go every certain time. I have seen styles become fashionable and then disappear, but the essence in all of them always remains. I think that House will always mark the trend. 15

Soy un amante de logic desde su versión 5.0 que es cuando empece a trastearlo de pequeño… aunque también trabajo mucho a día de hoy con Maschine y lógicamente “Logic X”. Bcn events: ¿Es posible ser independiente y tener éxito comercialmente? Claro que es posible, en esta vida no hay nada imposible lo único que es mucho mas difícil y el camino es mas largo, de hecho en la música electrónica casi todos los sellos punteros del mercado son independientes. Realmente el secreto del éxito es muy variado, todo depende del circuito en el que te nuevas o quieras mover… Bcn events: Internet, ¿aliado o enemigo? ¿Cómo se puede generar ingresos donde predomina el “todo gratis”? Adaptarse o morir, así son las cosas, desgraciadamente. Internet ha hecho mucho daño a la industria musical, aunque por otro lado ha abierto y roto el mercado para que todo el mundo tenga acceso para poder promocionarse. Mucha gente de las nuevas generaciones me preguntan como hacíamos anteriormente para poder pinchar en las discotecas, ya que no conciben que se pudiera hacer sin internet, la respuesta siempre es la misma, antes te contrataban por tu música… Bcn events: ¿Crees que la piratería favorece a la difusión de los artistas o los perjudica? Creo que favorece y a su vez perjudica, favorece por el hecho de poder llegar a mas gente como dije anteriormente y perjudica porque cuando te dedicas a un negocio, te gusta ganarte la vida con tu trabajo, con la cantidad de horas que le

dedicas a el, no creo que a un panadero le haga mucha gracia que la gente entre en su panadería y se lleve las barras de pan gratuitamente… Bcn events: Muchos confunden a la editorial musical con la discográfica o con una distribuidora. ¿En que se diferencian? Son 3 cosas diferentes aunque las 3 vayan de la mano… el sello discográfico es el encargado de sacar la canción al mercado y facturar los royalties de las ventas (físicas o digitales) para pagarle al autor , la editorial es la encargada de registrar las obras de los autores en las entidades de gestión de derechos y recaudar lo que las obras generan en el mundo para poder liquidar al autor y finalmente la distribuidora es la encargada de poner la música en el mercado a través de sus canales y acuerdos con las tiendas….. obviamente cada una de las 3 percibe un % por su trabajo realizado. Bcn events: Aunque cada vez parece más difícil predecir un éxito comercial. ¿Como A&R que elementos ha de tener una canción para que tenga un éxito potencialmente comercial? Todo depende del mercado al que te dirijas, en el mercado mainstream, siempre se buscan elementos sonoros actuales, melodías pegadizas y letras que lleguen a la gente para que puedan sonar en radios, mientras que en el mercado underground el éxito lo hacen los propios dj’s pinchando las canciones alrededor del mundo. Bcn events: ¿Qué proyectos o colaboraciones te estás preparando ahora mismo o en un futuro próximo? Justo se acaba de editar mi remix para el italiano G.U.A bajo el sello alemán JWB y espero terminar mi primer el álbum para este 2017, ademas de nuevas colaboraciones y remixes.

Empecé mi carrera profesional como estilista hace 9 años en Moscú, donde también trabajé como presentador de TV, actor, modelo y fui concursante de Gran Hermano Rusia. Actualmente trabajo como estilista y eventualmente como actor y modelo en la ciudad condal. Mi amor por esta preciosa ciudad empezó hace casi tres años cuando vine de vacaciones con una amiga a pasar el fin de semana. Dos días fueron suficientes para darme cuenta de que necesitaba dar un giro de 360 grados a mi vida. Cansado de la fría superficialidad de una ciudad como Moscú, encontré en Barcelona un nuevo hogar en el que su alegre y abierta gente, me ha acogido y me ha tratado como un igual desde el instante en que llegué. El sol, la playa y el calor de esta ciudad hacen que mi vida sea mucho más alegre y llena de color. Por fin he encontrado un lugar en el que echar raíces. Saludos!

Esta temporada hemos vivido la explosión definitiva de este concepto. Las azoteas ya no son para tender la ropa !!! Decker Uli Decker nació en las montañas en Bavaria, el Sur de Alemania. Desde su infancia le fascina la literatura, el teatro y el cine. A los 19 años se fue a vivir con campesinos en la selva Amazonica en el norte de Brasil. Despues estudió Literatura Española, Portuguesa y Latinoamericana y Ciencias del Teatro y del Cine en Londres, Berlin y Madrid. Acompañando los estudios, trabajó como periodista, actriz, asistente de dirección en teatros y empezó a hacer sus proprias películas. En 2004 se trasladó a Barcelona

donde hizo el Master en Documental Creativo en la Universidad Pompeu Fabra, colaborando en la creación de vários proyectos de documental (entre otros Renate Costa: “Cuchillo de Palo”, Pere Herms: “Del Vent al Blau”). Cuando volvió a Berlin, hizo un reportaje para la TV pública Alemana “Protesta en el Amazonas” y se especializó en camera en la Film Arche Berlin. Desde entonces vive en Berlin como filmmaker, haciendo documentales y video clips. En 2012 fundó su compañia “Ulises Films”.

Puedes decirnos cómo empezó tu carrera en el mundo del Cine - Documental, también cómo fue tu relación personal y profesional con Barcelona? Mi interes por el cine empezó con mi deseo de contar historias. De niña estaba desesperada porque con muy pocas de las historias que se contaban - películas, libros, cuentos - me pude identificar. Tenia la sensación de que yo no existia porque no existían personajes en cuyas vidas me queria o consegui ver. En la mayoria de las histórias que yo conocí y ví, los heroes

fueron siempre los hombres y a las mujeres no les quedaba otra que esperar a que el heroe las eligiera como esposa. A mi eso me parecia aburridísimo. Yo queria tener una vida interesante, llena de aventuras. Entonces surgió la necesidad de inventar historias, primero para mi misma como una estratégia de recrear el mundo a partir de mis ideas. cia que se habia leído todos las obras de su gran colección que incluía todos los ramos filosóficos hasta el misticismo de várias tradiciones religiosas. A veces me gustaria poder pasar sólo 10 minutos en la iglesia Santa Maria del Mar que es como un bosque tranquilo en medio de la folia, donde uno puede respirar antes de tirarse de nuevo al chaos de la vida. Y por fin claro que añoro la posibilidad de estar en la ciudad y poder llegar al mar en 15 minutos, oler el aire salado y la vista hasta el horizonte. -Quizás, un momento desagradable? Un aspecto que no te gustó de Barcelona como ciudad entonces, y ahora? Cuando regresé a Barcelona este año, me chocó mucho ver como la ciudad se ha vendido practicamente totalmente a los turistas. Si en mi época hasta 2007 eran los turistas Easyjet que vinieron un fin de semana para celebrar sus despedidas de solteros para emboracharse con alcol más barato que en sus paises, ahora la ciudad se ha vendido a los turistas de dinero que quieren un mundo deseñado para sus necesidades hoteles de 5 estrellas, último estilo donde no son molestados por la pobreza y los problemas que están causando. Muchos de los bares y restaurantes de familia desaparecieron y con esos muchos de los sitios por los que Barcelona valia la pena de vivir.

Estudié literatura, me dediqué al teatro y trabajé en muchas areas diferentes, porque queria tener una visión más ampla de las realidades de nuestro tiempo. Barcelona siempre habia sido una ciudad donde queria vivir por lo menos durante un tiempo. Cuando llegué en 2004, me apunté al Máster en Documental de Creación en la Universidad Pompeu Fabra que valió la pena principalmente por los muchos compañeros queridos e interesantes que conocí alli. Sobre tu estancia en Barcelona, nos puedes comentar un momento, un recuerdo agradable, especial? Lo que más recuerdo son las noches en Barcelona, bailando en la Paloma o en La Concha o la Bata de Guatiné. Cuando llegué todavia existía un bar muy popular donde ahora está el Hotel de la Rambla del Raval y con amigos ibamos mucho alli. El Raval era una jungla llena de maravillas y descubiertas entonces. También las cenas que hicimos en la teraza de la casa con vista sobre toda la ciudad son una cosa irrepitible, con esa luz de la tarde que sólo existe aqui. Hecho de menos los mercados con sus puestos de pescado y frutas, donde ya conocía los vendedores y me llenaba las bolsas de marisco fresquito y frutas y me recuerdo de la librería esotérica (nombre??) en la calle Princesa que desapareció, donde el dueño recomendaba libros y pare-

Tres similitudes entre Berlín y Barcelona y tres diferencias? Las dos son un puerto para mucha gente, especialmente relacionadas a las artes - un puerto donde uno vive durante un tiempo para vivir experiencias y el que uno deja despues de un tiempo para continuar el viaje hacia otras costas. Son ciudades transitórias para muchos. La vida nocturna en ambas ciudades juega un papel bastante importante y hay una ampla oferta de bares, discotecas etc. Las personas que vienen a vivir a Barcelona y Berlin muchas veces vienen por la experiencia de pasar un tiempo en la ciudad legendária, muchas veces sin idea como ganarse la vida. Un hecho que une Barcelona y Berlin tambien es la forma como la ciudad está traindo sus habitantes de toda la vida para atraer inversores con mucho dinero. En ambas ciudades se vuelve más y más ganarse la vida y pagar los alquileres con sueldos normales. Y el hecho que se le da más importancia a los apartamentos de lujos y la gente que investe su dinero en imobiliarias que en la gente que ha creado el encanto de la ciudad con su creatividad e idealismo, destruye la cultura de los barrios que se desarrolló durante decadas. Mientras en Barcelona todavia existen tradiciones de pueblo que surprenden a uno cuando las ve por primera vez, Berlin practicamente no tiene tradiciones muy enraizadas. Por un lado es una ciudad mucho más joven que Barcelona que tiene una tradición de siglos y por otro lado tiene esa história extremadamente dolorosa, en la que várias vezes, todo lo que se habia creado, fue extinguido y substituido por otra ideología, otra cultura. Berlin es como un gato con muchas vidas. Y en cuanto Barcelona es una señora elegante y guapa que encanta con su architectura filigrana, llena de juegos y multiples formas no geométricas, en Berlin reina la linea recta. El aspecto físico de la ciudad es mucho más brusco, influenciado por la uniformidad y das ideologías de masas.

Otra diferencia fundamental es la cultura mediteránea. El disfrutar de la vida y de las cosas cotidianas es mucho más inherente a la cultura mediteranea que a la prusiana con su protestantismo austero. Y una cosa importante que diferencia Berlin probabelmente de cualquier otra ciudad Europea es su história particular llena de dolor y secuelas que continuan marcando la ciudad en el inconciente colectivo: las secuelas de la guerra y de la separación nunca van a decaparecer del todo de Berlin y los muchos cambios por los que pasó la ciudad no se comparan con ninguna metrópolis Europea. Tus películas se han visto en esta ciudad? Sólo uno de mis primeros cortos que hice tambien en Barcelona. Espero que pronto, más. Hay algún proyecto en camino a realizar aquí o en otra ciudad ? La película que acabo de terminar en colaboración con el director brasileño Felipe Frozza, tiene lugar en la costa mediteránea. Se llama “Kelly” y es un retrato poético sobre una transsexual brasileña que vive en un pequeño balneario en la costa Adriatica y sueña de encontrar el amor de su vida. Mi nuevo proyecto es una película que pasó mucho tiempo en mi cajón y ahora tengo la impresión que llegó la hora de realizarlo. Es una película que tiene lugar en el sur de Alemania, en Bavaria, la región en la que me crié. Es una película bastante personal que trata de secretos de familia, questiones de género y como las limitaciones e nuestro entorno marcan nuestra visión del mundo y de nosotros mismos. Un festival de cine, película en lengua hispana que te gustó ? Director.a o artista español o Catalán que te guste, inspire? DocsBarcelona, L’Alternativa y La mostra internacional de films de dones fueron los festivales los que nunca me perdí en Barcelona. Incluso trabajé durante vários años para el DocsBarcelona. El ambiente de l’Alternativa no se compara con ningun otro festival - este aspecto casi informal que reune amantes del cine, estudiantes, artistas de videoarte.

De los documentales que me marcaron está “En construcción” de José Luis Guerin, una película que me hizo entender que significa hacer un documental con la cuestión donde termina el documental y dónde empieza la ficción. En 2004 encontré “Retrato Intermitente” de Ventura Pons en una videoteca en Barcelona y con la película descubrí a José Perez Ocaña quien ha sido una gran revelación para mi. Su espiritu libre, su energia humana y revolucionária que questiona lo muerto en la vida y lo revive y de eso se trata en el arte en mi opinión - me impresionó profundamente y desde entonces lo adopté como hermano en el espirito. Hay muchas otras películas que me gustaria mencionar y hay muchas que se hicieron ultimamente y todavia no tuve la oportunidad de verlas, estando un poco alejada de España y Catalunya.

Hay muchas películas de lengua española que me marcaron o simplesmente me gustaron. Infelizmente conozco pocas películas que se hicieron en los últimos años - por eso mi lista parece un poco anticuada. Entre otras pienso en “El espiritu de la colmena” de Victor Erice, una película verdaderamente mágica, llena de metáforas y referencias. Las peliculas de Almodóvar me influenciaron bastante en su forma de tratar los generos, principalmente “Tacones lejanos” y “Todo sobre mi madre”. Las películas de Luis Buñuel me fascinan por su manera de crear mundos surreales como metáforas de la sociedad de su tiempo. “Mi vida sin mi” de Isabel Coixet dejó una impresión duradera, igual que “Ander” de Roberto Castón y “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” de Mario Camus - segun la pieza de Llorca, poeta al que admiro y sigo leyendo en cada fase de mi vida.

Talking about your stay in Barcelona, can you remember a pleasant, special moment in your memory? What I remember the most are the nights in Barcelona, dancing in La Paloma or La Concha or the Bata de Guatiné. When I arrived, there was still a very popular bar, which now is the Hotel de la Rambla del Raval, and we went there many times with friends. The Raval was a jungle full of wonders and then discovered. Also the dinners we had on the terrace of the house appreciating the whole city, with that afternoon light that only exists here are an unfrgettable thing. I missed the markets with their fish and fruit bowls, where I already knew the sellers and I was filling up the bags with fresh seafood and fruit and I remember the esoteric bookstore on Calle Princesa that disappeared later, where the owner was recommending books and it seemed that he had read all the works of his great collection which included from the philosophical branches to the mysticism of various religious traditions. Sometimes I would like to spend at least 10 minutes in the Santa Maria del Mar church which is like a quiet forest in the middle of the revelry, where one can breathe before throwing himself back to the chaos of life. And finally, of course, I miss the possibility of being in the city and reaching the sea in 15 minutes, smelling the salty air and looking at the horizon. “Perhaps an unpleasant moment?” One aspect due to which you did not like Barcelona as a city then, and now? Both are a port for many people, especially related to the arts - a port where one lives for a while to live experiences and the one that leaves after a while to continue the journey to other coasts. They are transitory cities for many. The nightlife in both cities plays a very important role and there is an ample number of bars, discos and so on. People who come to live in Barcelona and Berlin often come for the experience of spending time in the legendary city, often without any idea how to make a living. A fact that unites Barcelona and Berlin is also how the city is bringing its inhabitants a lifetime to attract investors with a lot of money. In both cities it becomes more and more comon to earn to live and pay rent with normal salaries. Berlin is like a cat with many lives. Meanwhile Barcelona is an elegant and beautiful lady who enchants with its filigree architecture, full of play and multiple non geometric forms, Berlin reigns the straight line. The physical aspect of the city is much more abrupt, influenced by uniformity and mass ideologies. Another fundamental difference is the Mediterranean culture. The enjoyment of life and everyday things is much more inherent to the Mediterranean culture than to the Prussian with its austere Protestantism. Another important thing that differentiates Berlin probably from any other European city is its particular history full of pain and sequelae that continue to mark the city in the collective unconscious: the aftermath of war and separation will never completely decapitate Berlin and the many changes the city has undergone cannot be compared with any European metropolis. Is there any project on the way to be made here or in another city? The film I have just finished in collaboration with the Brazilian director Felipe Frozza, takes place on the Mediterranean coast. It is called “Kelly” and it is a poetic portrait of a Brazilian transsexual who lives in a small seaside resort on the Adriatic coast and dreams of finding the love of her life. My new project is a movie that spent a lot of time in my drawer and now I have the impression that it is time to make it. It is a film that takes place in the south of Germany, in Bavaria, the region where I grew up. It is a very personal film that deals with family secrets, gender issues and how the limitations and our surroundings mark our vision of the world and ourselves. A film festival, a Spanish language film that you liked? Director or a Spanish or Catalan artist that you like, inspires you? DocsBarcelona, L’Alternativa and The International Show of Films of Women were the festivals that I had

Cheat Meal o Comida Trampa Buenos días, hoy os traigo un artículo sobre la comida trampa o cheat meal. Es una comida en la que comemos lo que nos apetece, sea normalmente un exceso de hidratos de carbono o de grasas. Este consumo más elevado de los macronutrientes que en una dieta normal suelen ser más escasos, crean un superávit, creando una recarga de nuestros depósitos y posteriormente una sobrecompensación. Esta sobrecompensación conlleva a un aumento del gasto calórico el día posterior y el mismo día de esa comida trampa. Os expongo sus beneficios: -El primero es el beneficio psicológico, cuántos de nosotros no hemos esperado toda la semana para saltarnos la dieta en el día que toca con esa comida que tanto deseamos y tener ese respiro que tanto queremos.

En la gastronomía donde las fusiones de culturas y sabores sumado a la creciente tendencia de utilizar en la cocinas productos frescos y de temporada, se ha creado un movimiento que sin duda va marcando la tendencia de la oferta gastronómica. Es por esta razón que en este mes en el cual el sol y las temperaturas veraniegas, queremos hablar de una experiencia gastronómica que sin duda ha estado en constante crecimiento como una alternativa para los amantes de la cocina pero que además les atraiga conocer nuevas culturas y personas de otras latitudes, nos referimos a los Workshops de cocina o Cooking classes recreativas, pero ¿que significa todo este palabrerío?, pues es muy simple y quizás muchos de ustedes ya lo han experimentado; reunirse en grupos alrededor de una cocina donde los participantes prepararán, cocinaran y luego degustaran un grupo de recetas de determinado país o cultura, dirigida obviamente por un chef profesional el cual se encarga de dar todas las indicaciones y pasos a seguir para preparar cada una de las recetas en un tiempo determinado. Pero esto no termina allí ya que, toda la experiencia es desarrollada en un ambiente distendido y relajado similar a una comida o cena familiar

Por todas estas características los Workshops además pueden reunir diferentes tipos de grupos o personas, como es el caso de reuniones privadas entre las que podemos mencionar: despedidas de solteros, cumpleaños familiares o entre amigos, grupos de trabajos corporativos o teamwork muy utilizado actualmente por empresas y corporaciones para generar grupos y departamentos más unidos que puedan trabajar en equipo de forma más productivas. Pero su mayor atractivo podría ser reunir personas con culturas y costumbres diferentes, familias con hijos, parejas de recién casados, fodies, personas en retiro, las posibilidades son infinitas porque sin temor a equivocarme que este tipo de experiencia cuenta con la magia de reunir alrededor de La Cocina personas llenas de buena vibra y amantes del buen vivir a través de la Gastronomía como idioma Universal.

A lo largo de la historia de las culturas, el pan se ha ido elaborando con el cereal disponible en la zona o con la variante modificada más resistente. Por ejemplo, el trigo y los cereales se han empleado en Europa y parte de África, el maíz es frecuente en América y el arroz en Asia. A nivel social el pan establecía una distinción de clases en función del color de la miga; los panes de centeno (de miga más oscura) han correspondido a las clases menos favorecidas, mientras que los de harina de trigo (miga blanca) a clases más elitistas.
