Good afternoon, Lions fans, and welcome to Save-On-Foods Field at BC Place for a big West Division clash against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. After a tough one in Winnipeg last week, the Lions are hungry to bounce back and even the season series—this is our final regular season meeting with the Bombers, so it’s a crucial one in the playoff race. Big plays from Keon Hatcher Sr. and Ayden Eberhardt helped spark the offence last week, and stretching the field again will be key. On defence, it’s all about stopping the run and creating takeaways.
Off the field, we’re celebrating the season with a full day of summer fun. It’s our Summer Camp Game, complete with campfire vibes, s’mores bowls, and family-friendly activities throughout the stadium. We’re also proud to honour the Class of 2025 with a special Grad Walk—don’t miss your chance to cheer on this amazing group. Whether you’re here for the football or the festivities, it’s shaping up to be another unforgettable evening at BC Place.
BC Place has introduced a No Bag Policy for all guests attending events at the venue to make entry faster, safer and easier for everyone. This includes purses, handbags, fanny packs, shopping bags and backpacks. A complimentary bag check service will be provided by the Lions, and is available at Gates C and G.
• Guests are encouraged not to bring bags to the stadium
• Guests may enter with one clear plastic bag that is no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”
• Guests may also carry one small clutch purse-bag no larger than 6.5” x 8.5”, with a handle or strap which will be searched.
• Exceptions may be provided for diaper bags, and for medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag
• All bags are subject to search, including enhanced screening, if required

The 1-1 BC Lions are feeling a sense of urgency as they welcome in the 1-0 Winnipeg Blue Bombers for a Saturday afternoon rematch at SaveOn-Foods Field at BC Place (4:00 pm/TSN/CBS Sports Network/730 CKNW/Sher-E Punjab Radio AM 600). Last Thursday’s 34-20 setback against these same Bombers has lingered in more ways than one, and the squad is anxious to bounce back and prove they belong in the upper echelon of Western Division contenders. Nothing wrong with an early-season setback to reset the need to execute.
Ultimately, Buck Pierce’s squad will be judged on how they handle adversity, whether it be on the scoreboard or in the Injury Reports. We now tee up this massive matchup in our 5 Things To Know game preview.

There is an expression in football that little things add up to big things and there were plenty of examples of that during last Thursday’s 3420 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg.
As BC Lions head coach Buck Pierce tries to transform his team into a championship contender, the focus is on those little things.
Perhaps the best example was a play in the first quarter in which the Lions defensive front had done a pretty good job of neutralizing a Bomber running play. Almost all the gaps were cancelled and Winnipeg running back Brady Oliveira looked to be stopped for little or no gain at the point of attack.
Notice I said almost all the gaps were covered.
