OCT 17 vS. EDMOnTOn
Welcome to the final game of the regular season, Lions fans! Tonight, the stakes couldn’t be higher as your BC Lions face off against a Western rival with playoff standings on the line. It’s been a record-setting season for Nathan Rourke and this explosive Lions offence, and a win tonight could help lock in a home playoff game right here at Save-On-Foods Field at BC Place. Expect fireworks on the field as the team looks to finish strong and carry that momentum into the postseason.
Off the field, we’re turning BC Place into the Wild Wild West! Fans can kick up their boots and enjoy western-themed fun all night long, from live music and games, to a mechanical bull on the concourse for those bold enough to take a ride. It’s time to round up your crew, grab your cowboy hats, and get ready for a wild night in Lions Country!

The morning air is getting pleasantly crisp and the leaves continue to fall. Those are the sure signs that the real season is almost here. The 9-7 BC Lions look to move one step closer to starting their playoff indoors, free and clear of the autumn air, when they duke it out with the 7-9 Edmonton Elks this Friday night in downtown Vancouver. A fifth straight win for the surging Lions also delivers a final knockout punch to the Elks’ own playoff aspirations. We present 5 Things To Know about this week’s battle.

Teamwork drives success—on the field and on the job site.

With the Edmonton Elks coming to Save-On-Foods Field at BC Place this Friday, we take a look at some of the keys to beating the Elks in a game with major playoff ramifications. The Elks need a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, while a Lions victory would go a long way in BC hosting the Western Semi-Final on Saturday, November 1st.
The Elks have found life ever since inserting Cody Fajardo as their quarterback after a 1-4 start. Fajardo has gone 6-5 as the starter with the Elks becoming a tough out even in defeat. Of the five losses the Elks have suffered with the ex-Lion as their quarterback, four of them have been by a combined 10 points with walk-off field goals taking place in two of those defeats. The only real stinker the Elks have played with Fajardo as their starter was a 28-7 loss to the Stampeders in Calgary on Labour Day.
