ORANGE SHIRT DAY GAME
SEPTEMBER 29TH VS. SSK
Tonight, the playoff-bound Lions battle the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the third and final regular season meeting. A win tonight assures we will be back here in front of our great fans in November as the battle for 1st in the West continues. Last week’s win in Edmonton was on the strength of our stout defence with seven sacks, and a solid run game with Smoke Mizzell going for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. The battle up front will continue to be important with the playoffs just around the corner.
Tonight also marks the third annual Orange Shirt Day Game, where we pay respect to Canada’s National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. The first 10,000 fans will receive a newly designed orange t-shirt featuring our Indigenous-themed logo designed by Corrine Hunt. Plus, you won’t want to miss the return of the Indigenous Marketplace where vendors will be showcasing and selling their products. Game entertainment will not disappoint with special guest DJ O Show, anthem singer Hayley Wallis, and an incredible halftime show performance from The Halluci Nation. Enjoy Lions fans!
