WATERMELON SMASH

JULY 13TH VS SASKATCHEWAN

Welcome back to Save-On-Foods Field at BC Place, where your Lions have the chance to take over top spot in the West Division. That is what is at stake against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in our second annual Watermelon Smash. CFL passing leader Vernon Adams Jr. is on a 6,000-yard pace for the season and the aerial attack was a major catalyst in the win at Hamilton last week.

And with summer well underway, don’t forget to grab a Watermelon Margarita and join us at Terry Fox Plaza for the Watermelon Bash, where Lions and Riders fans will be competing head-to-head alongside their team presidents. The fun continues inside as the Ultimate Fan Challenge will be taking place throughout the game. Make sure to cheer loudly for those in orange!

With the Watermelon Smash returning to BC Place, a couple of your Saskatchewan-born Lions had marked this highly anticipated game down on their calendar. They wanted to put on a show because everybody back home would be tuning in for this Week 6 match-up. GAME PREVIEW: LIONS VS. ROUGHRIDERS

In this great league they surely will always remember November. When it comes to mid-July, however, it would be hard to pinpoint as matchup with much higher stakes than this as the 4-1 BC Lions entertain the 4-0 Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday at Save-On-Foods Field at BC Place. This one most certainly could involve the winner being in control of top spot in the West for a long time, especially seeing as they will only meet once more way down the road in October at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium...

Sex trafficking is a complex issue - one that far too many Canadians ignore because they think it only happens to people they don’t know in other countries. Unfortunately, human trafficking touches every community in Canada and it can affect you or someone you love.
