Arnold Palmer
Twin Mills Club at Trilogy Lake Norman
We are a Carolinas-based general contractor committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our customers, communities, and team. Our journey started over twenty-five years ago in a career centered around high-end commercial interiors. From corporate executive offices to law firms and trading floors, we have always been enamored by how the construction process and quality craftsmanship can transform spaces to serve their owners and occupants best.
This deep-rooted passion for our craft led us to the world of fine dining restaurants, upscale lobbies, and five-star hotels. When our first opportunity to renovate a local country club arose, we knew our expertise would perfectly fit the job. Years
spent sweating over veneer layouts and obsessing over the end-user experience refined our skill set, developed our keen eye for detail, and formed our understanding that construction is an art, not an action.
With more than 160 hospitality projects under our belt, we are well-versed in successfully delivering these projects. We know the challenges specific to building for the hospitality industry, especially when it comes to keeping clubs operational and members satisfied during construction. Our knowledge of industry trends and deep understanding of the nuances of working in this sector allow us to offer a level of experience paramount for understanding your needs and achieving your goals. And our commitment to doing what is best for our clients and our projects helps bring your vision to life — and equally important, have fun doing it.

Early engagement makes a difference.
The most important decisions on a construction project occur in the design phase. On average, over 20% of costs are determined before the contractor ever sees a set of plans or specifications.

Early engagement helps set achievable parameters for the entire team and fosters transparent communication with members.

The art of repurposing.
The adaptive reuse of old family land and farms for golf courses is a trend that has stood the test of time. What started as a vision to repurpose a dairy farm as the first 18-hole golf course within the Charlotte metro, the Carolina Golf Club has evolved since 1929 to become a championship golf club and exclusive networking destination for the city’s business community.

WHAT’S NEXT?
New Trends for Now & Then
| 37
We’re ready to help you deliver spaces that attract new members and generate additional revenue streams.
38 |
These are the hottest trends happening at private clubs near you.
Networking on your schedule
Virtual reality and artificial intelligence provide a new platform in the metaverse for club members to play golf and attend charity and networking events. Privacy settings based on their membership level allow members to select who they socialize with to maximize business opportunities and time.
Enhanced technology
Rapidly evolving technologies include robotic kitchen assistants, caddies, and GPS-enabled remotecontrolled golf carts that can follow the player around the course.
Golf around the clock
Indoor golf simulators are growing in popularity, making way for the addition of spaces for golfers to socialize and improve their golf swings without having to worry about the current weather conditions outside.
Family-focused amenities
Many amenity enhancements appeal to a wide range of ages. There’s something for everyone, from bocce ball and pickleball courts to game rooms with video games and private card rooms.
Wellness & self-care
Wellness and personal care environments continue to be growing trends for clubs. The addition of spa services, including massages, beauty treatments, and other amenities such as fitness centers with personal trainers, saunas, steam rooms, health clinics, and hair salons, is on the rise.
Your game on your time
As shorter golf courses are gaining popularity, golf courses are designing fewer and easier holes, from family-friendly short courses to executive par three courses.
Offering the complete package
Exclusive venues are being created for member-only usage at high-end destinations similar to vacation retreats, making clubs conducive to living, working, and playing.

What everyone’s saying about us.
We are in the final weeks of completing what will be a $28 million project with Barringer and we have had a great experience. They have been a true partner all the way through the process including the good, the bad, and the ugly. Knowing I am not the easiest of clients and having been in the role of construction manager, I unequivocally endorse them for any project you might have.

This is the second project we have worked with Barringer on that has had great results and our client’s satisfaction. Your team handled a tricky project construction scope, tight budget constraints, and a demanding club committee to deliver a beautiful outcome that ultimately met the schedule and design intent. We have received praise from the client for the outcome and you all deserve much of the credit. I would bring you all to the team again on future projects!
