Steve Carell and Tina Fey “DATE NIGHT” Fans of NBC’s Thursday-night lineup will find two immediate lures in this mistaken-identity comedy, since Steve Carell (“The Office”) and Tina Fey (“30 Rock”) are teamed as a New Jersey couple who decide to change up their usually predictable “date night” away from their kids. They claim someone else’s reservation at a Manhattan restaurant, setting off a chain of events ultimately proving to be life-or-death for them. Mark Wahlberg sends up his image amusingly in a cast that also includes James Franco, Mila Kunis, Taraji P. Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr. and Logan Henderson (all of whom retain their first names for their characters) play the Minnesota pals who go to Los Angeles in search of fame and fortune ... but it isn’t exactly a free ride, thanks especially to their demanding manager (Stephen Kramer Glickman). Tanya Chisholm also stars. ››› (Not rated) “ADAM-12: SEASON 5” Martin Milner and Kent McCord continued their run as Los Angeles patrol partners Malloy and Reed in this NBC police drama, which boasted the trademarks of executive producer Jack Webb (“Dragnet”). Though Milner added some doses of cynical humor as a cop who’s seen it all, the basic approach was the standard Webb formula of procedural dialogue plus the facts of the week’s given case.
